“SoCal did a great job replacing a skylight that was damaged during the recent windstorms in my area. They were extremely responsive on the phone and were able to come out right away to assess the damage and order and install the correct skylight. Since there was a rainstorm about to arrive, they also waterproofed the existing damaged skylight until they came back the next week for the replacement service . They are extremely professional in every aspect of their service. I would recommend them without hesitation.“

I did my due diligence and called three contractors—not only to compare pricing, but also to gauge experience and get a sense of trust and assurance. Hiring a contractor for a big job can be nerve-wracking, especially in construction where there can be so much ambiguity.

Out of the three, Arthur, the project manager at Universal Builder, was the most professional and made me feel the most at ease. From the beginning, he took the time to walk me through the steps they would take to locate the problem and explain exactly how they would fix it. If something didn’t go as scheduled, he would personally call to reassure me and make sure everything was addressed until I was satisfied—and it was. He was upfront abut the pricing from the beginning, they are not the cheapest but they are not the most expensive either. depending on the job, you don't want to always go with the cheapest contractors and end up with no insurance, and a crappy job. I eneded up getting part of my roof fixed and a brand new Chimney Cap for a very good price.

In the construction world, it can be hard to find true professionalism you can count on. I would absolutely recommend Arthur to anyone.“

“Randy does superb work and is a" jack-of-all-trades" as a contractor. Along with doing repairs on our house for the past 15-years, Randy has done steady work for many of our neighbors. A few months ago, Randy did a magnificent job laying out the concrete for our driveway. More recently, he has painted an office in our home, as well as painting the outside deck. In addition, he added a long wooden railing around the deck. Randy is prompt, courteous, and extremely professional. I would highly recommend him for anyone looking for a seasoned contractor.“
