“I am 77 years old & a Veteran...I was in the USCG 1960 to 1964...whenever someone is kind enough to thank me for my service I always respond "It was my pleasure...those were 4 of the best years of my life"...the only other VA facility I have ever patronized is big facility in Long Beach...I use to wait for hours just to talk to someone & get an appointment...I have a store in ELA that I work out of & live in...it is right off of Gerhart on Beverly Blvd so I am about 5 minutes from VA Clinic on Olympic Blvd. in ELA...when I first heard about that location I went in & registered...I have been using their services for a couple of years now & couldn't be happier...for flu shots, medications & my annual physical...a week ago I got a call & was given an appointment for my covid vaccine on Wed. Feb. 10th at 11:30 am & asked to check in 15 minutes early...after seeing the nightmare scenes of the lines at Dodger Stadium & other vaccine facilities...the long lines of seniors in Florida standing in lines with no end in their wheelchairs & walkers...needless to say I was apprehensive as to what I would face & how long I would have to wait for my vaccine...I arrived at the clinic at 11:15 am...they asked me a few questions & then sent me into another room...at 11:37...22 minutes after arriving I had already gotten my vaccine and was in the observation room I had to hang out in for 15 minutes to insure I wouldn't have a bad reaction...I was absolutely amazed & of course very pleased with the way this was all handled..."KUDOS" to the staff & everyone in anyway responsible for the way it was handled...as a Veteran I feel blessed to have the benefits provided to us...even more blessed to have a facility so convenient to me & staffed with some of the most caring, giving & kind people I have had the pleasure of dealing with...with much gratitude my humble thanks... “Was there today at the Commerce facility,I must admit I wa impressed.The whole staff showed a lot of professionalism,seemed liked the whole staff worked in harmony.Waiting time was a little long,but Fridays are the busiest from what I was told. Alma & Sandra were superb,very knowledgeable and friendly.Those two are the bomb,also very polite as wel. I would totally recommend this facilit,you will also be delighted on how well this staff treats the patients.“

Also, I had coolsculpting done about five years ago. The recovery was pretty uncomfortable. I had a lot of swelling, redness, bruising, soreness, blah blah blah. With The new technology, I had zero discomfort.
It’s a little weird, feeling numb in the areas where the machine placed, but whatever, I’ll take numbness over a little bit of stubborn fat any day. I had my lower belly done, a little area on my hips and my lower back / bra pudge area.

It’s been a week and I’m already starting to see results.“

“I’ve been to several family medicine clinics over the years until I found San Miguel and they’ve been my primary care office since! Whenever I walk-in the staff know me and greet me by name which is rare in this day and age.

The thing I appreciate most however is that Dr. Salama takes the time to listen to what I’m going through and working with me in creating a plan together instead of making me feel like just another appointment on his schedule. He takes the time explain things clearly, answer all of my questions without rushing, and makes sure I understand the next steps before I leave. He’ll even check up on me from time to time to see how i’m doing, which I don’t think any doctor has the time for anymore, but it meant a lot to me given some of my health conditions and showed how much he cared!

This is a walk-in office so wait time vary based on the day / time you go, so best to call ahead to see how busy they are if you’re on a time crunch. Other than that, they’re an awesome team and clinic!“
