So I really wanted to like this salon because it's so much closer to me than where I am currently going to. The owner was really really nice but the hair service she did on my roots was horrific. My hair appointment was canceled last minute with my regular hair dresser so I was able to find this place and was so grateful they could fit me in after work. The Salon is really beautiful inside and I felt very welcomed by the owner. I had her do a root coverup and a deep conditioning on my hair. I left with my hair wet because I had no time for her to blow dry it so we both agreed letting it air dry would be best. I was going on a two week vacation the following day so I planned to straighten it once I got to my first destination. Ugh.. I wish I would have had her blow dry it because when I finally got to flat iron it I realized she didn't cover up all my gray roots. And then when I washed it again the color faded even more. I paid over $100 bucks and left a good tip for pretty much nothing. Now I have to get it redone at my original place. So waste of money. I was going to contact the owner who did my hair and have her redo it but I didn't want to have to worry about this happening again or having to be there for so long so it's my loss I'll have to swallow. Also, it was very strange to me that while she rinsed my hair I had to keep my knees bent so I could reach the sink better. Doing that was uncomfortable and a bit ridiculous to ask of your clients. I even tried to stretch my legs out but she kept telling me I needed to keep them bent and push myself up. Sorry but won't be back here anytime soon.

I did not like the quality of my highlights after my appointment. I asked for balylage hair and got a weave. I asked after and she was too lazy to fix it. What a shame. I think perhaps not.

I've been to Claremont village salon a couple times now and I always leave so happy and beyond satisfied with my hair cut and color! I get my hair done by Marianne who's the sweetest and so honest with her opinion for my hair. It's so hard for me to trust anyone with my hair with all the bad experiences I've had, but Marianne always exceeds my expectations. Definitely will be coming here for now on for all my hair needs!

Superb service, the owner Marianne is incredibly nice and very professional. I had no problems making an appointment and was not kept waiting. I am very particular about my hair and no one wants a hairdresser that tries to talk you into what they think is best. I can happily say that Marianne listened to what I wanted and didn't question it or try to get me to add layers or thin my hair. She also gave me fantastic instruction on taking better care of my hair, and I can already feel the difference. She uses high quality products, and I actually ended up purchasing the detangler and shampoo she recommended. What a difference! She really knows her stuff, and my hair looks fantasic! The best part is the detangler literally cut 10-15 minutes off of my brushing routine and my hair has never felt sooooo soft. I will definitely be returning when I need a trim next.
