Sylvan Cemetery District

I do not have loved ones buried here, but wanted to explore this cemetery as it was established in 1862. It's appeared well maintained and I did not notice any litter or trash strewn about as other reviews state. There are very large old trees and many benches in honor of those deceased located throughout so that you can rest and reflect. The older part of the cemetery with headstones dating back to the mid 1800s is located to the left as you enter. That part of the cemetery is well worth walking through and exploring the old family plots and veterans who lay there. The other part of the cemetery, which is newer is also quite lovely. My wife's brother, mother, and father are buried here. It is an old style cemetery so it doesn't have the flat markers the newer ones require. Sylvan has the fancy grave stones of years gone by. That being said that graves are well kept.
