Citrus Heights Beauty College

I don’t usually leave reviews and honestly it’s probably my own fault for trusting this for such an important event. I was leaving for my honeymoon the next day and thought I could just get my highlights done the day before leaving. My blonde highlights had grown out and they suggested we just bleach the top half due to my thinner hair texture, which I appreciated the caution. I made it clear I didn’t want any yellow undertones and showed them a teddy gram vibe I was going for, and I wanted a SLIGHT TRIM OF MY SPLIT ENDS. (I let her know I have been growing out my hair for a long time but it takes forever to actually grow)… The top half of my head turned out so extremely light it didn’t match the bottom half of my hair and the tone of yellow was horrible. Then she proceeded to cut off at least 2&1/2 to 3 inches of my hair that have been working so hard to grow out and it was not what we agreed on. When I told her it was much more taken off then I had wanted she said “I know but it’s just hair it will grow back.” I was honestly so shocked because usually I would have popped off at a response like that, but I truly couldn’t believe it. I went and cried in the parking lot and then asked the lady at the counter if she had any recommendations on toner to fix at least the bad dye job. Some nice stylist offered to try and fix it, and it was much less yellow but the top half still came out extremely lighter because we just tried using different toner. Long story short…. never again. Not only was the original girl I was assigned obviously inexperienced in both trimming and highlights, but the instructor approved the process as we were going knowing what I had asked for. Don’t cheap out, go to a professional! And it’s honestly not even much cheaper. If you’re looking for a sign, this is it.

Love this place! I’ve had a facial and waxing done and had a great experience both times. Highly recommend.

I had facial, pedicure, manicure and haircut today. In at 9:30am, out 2pm, everyone is very professional, from time you enter the door. There are instructor in each area working with and instructing the students
I have been coming to this beauty school for over 3yrs and have used other beauty schools in other parts of the country.
I feel...not one has measured up to quality Citrus Heights.
But you must remember these are students.

I REALLY Enjoy getting Haircuts/Re-Tinting Done there. All the Young Women are Courteous, Professional & Well Supervised. I'm Continuing a 30-Yr Tradition, my Dad & Mom both enjoyed C.H. Beauty College Services. Good Prices.

Ive been going here for a couple of years from haircuts to mani/pedis. They do a great a job and at a fraction of the cost

Kait was very conscientious and did a good job, she's still working on her nail license but I'm excited to see how she grows!

After transferring from another cosmetology school, I can truly say that Citrus Heights Beauty College has been an amazing experience! The instructors are supportive, the environment is welcoming, and I feel like I’m finally thriving here. I absolutely LOVE being part of this school and I’m so glad I made the decision to transfer… it’s the best choice I’ve made for my education and career.
