My wife came in for a dog bite alone and scared. After providing her insurance information the gentleman(Kirk was the only name provided) who was "helping" her told her that her co-pay was $200, which she objected to because we have excellent insurance and an ER visit is less(is there some insurance where Urgent Care co-pay is higher?) . She confirmed with our insurance(which I later did as well, including confirming it is in-network) and should be only $20. She also requested to just be billed as she knew this was a mistake and he told her she could go somewhere else. I have been here about 5 times since moving to San Diego. Our primary is on East Palomar but when I need urgent care, we come here. Most of the time the wait is very reasonable (45 min-2 hours) but they call and update you. Everyone is so helpful and knowledgeable about symptoms and what to do. All times we've gone, our prescriptions were sent over quickly and correctly.
Called nurse connection to speak to a nurse and got a headache just trying to get a nurse on the phone; someone takes your info. and then you have to wait hours for a nurse to give you a callback... What happened to "America has the best medical system in the world" ?
