Absolutely outstanding experience, all amazing from Mariah helping me to check in with a tablet , crystal inspecting my gum health and making meaningful recommendations, Ozzy taking painless X-rays, kindly and gently and Dr Diana giving me a wonderful comprehensive check and advice, making my next appointments and working with my own busy schedule. I thoroughly recommend this facility, impeccably clean and high tech., efficient and friendly staff abd no waiting. Actually looking forward to my next visit!!!!!! This posting was unsolicited, I asked to offer a review to assist others in their dental needs. Cheers

Today was my first time visiting and although I was nervous, this is the best experience I could have asked for. Thank you to everyone who made me feel comfortable, talked me through the procedures, answered my questions with care and provided excellent service <3

Hivi checked me in. She is very sweet, professional and informative. I’m grateful for how smooth the process was to get checked in and how transparent she was in letting me know how much I would be paying before my cleaning began. Paying and scheduling my next appointment was a breeeze.

Leo was the first person I met afterwards who took my x-rays. He is really kind, careful and reassuring. I felt very safe and I could tell he cared about every step of the process as he made sure to do things correctly. Our interaction made me feel comfortable being there!

Dr. Thao Nguyen is sweet and easy to talk to. I did not feel scared asking her any questions. She helped me understand many things about the condition of my teeth and provided solutions to my concerns. I sensed that she truly cared about me as a patient.

Chrystal, the hygienist, is so awesome! Diligent, friendly, informative and more. I interacted with her the most. She made the experience fun. I’m grateful that she took the time to explain things before doing them or as she was doing them so I knew what was happening. She even taught me how to floss properly! Little moments I won’t forget. When she finished, I was genuinely overjoyed with how much better my teeth looked :^)

This may be the first time I can say I had fun at the dentist hahaha and maybe even the first time I’ll say that I’m excited for my next visit! Thank you all so much!

I love this dentistry, Leo is always so welcoming as soon as you walk in. Chrystal always walks me through everything before we get started and she also always checks up on me throughout my whole cleaning procedure to make sure I am comfortable.

SCAM ALERT - BEWARE I opted into new health and dental insurance through my company for 2026 so I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Nguyen at Canyon Vista Dental. Prior to this, I had a dental exam and cleaning every 6 months so I knew the condition of my teeth before the visit. They did a standard exam including x-rays and then told me I had gum disease and would need a deep scaling/cleaning along with an antiseptic rinse. News to me! Never been diagnosed with this before. Of course this procedure was $2,000 with only half covered by my insurance so the total cost to me was going to be $1,000. They offered a payment plan. I told them I needed to think about it and would call back. I did so and informed them that I decided to NOT do the deep scaling/cleaning and instead wanted to do the standard cleaning that was fully covered by my insurance. Much to my surprise, I was told they couldn’t do that because now that they had diagnosed me with gum disease, the standard cleaning covered by my insurance was NOT available to me!! This was a lie!! Turns out it was, and is, available to me through my insurance BUT, Canyon Vista Dental won’t do the standard cleaning! Now that they’ve decided I have gum disease, it’s the $1,000 “out of pocket” gum scaling or nothing!! Outrageous. What a scam! At this point, I’ve wasted one of my two 2026 dental exams with no ability to get a standard cleaning (like I’ve done every 6 months for years). Not happy so I ask to speak to the office manager. Same talking points from her so I express my frustration and feeling that they use this sneaky little trick to force people into a procedure they don’t want, don’t need and/or can’t afford. After all, I’m the patient and it’s my decision (or at least it should be). Further, if this is the policy, then they should CLEARLY STATE IT UPFRONT!!! Had I known this, I would have chosen another dentist to avoid the situation I’m now in. This, of course is exactly why they DON’T disclose the policy up front. It’s a secret until you’ve had the exam and then they’ve got you. Pay for the cleaning they want you to have, not what you want and are entitled to through the insurance you pay for. BTW, there are other people who had the same experience and have posted negative reviews on BBB. These sleazy, unethical practices have no place in business, but especially in professional services where trust is of paramount importance. Feels like dentistry with a side of used car sales tactics! At this point, I insist on receiving my exam results and x-rays electronically ASAP and they assure me they’ll make them available. I’m now in the process of selecting a new dentist and will probably have to pay for a new exam. First, I don’t think the new dentist will accept the exam just done by Canyon and second, I’ll be able to compare the new exam results to the Canyon exam results. If the new exam shows no gum disease, or much less than Canyon indicated, that’s a very different story that poses some serious ethical issues and perhaps legal ones as well. Either way, I’ll be filing a formal complaint with the Dental Board of California, State Attorney General’s Office, Better Business Bureau, my new insurance company as well as other applicable consumer agencies and review sites. Don’t really have time to deal with this but it’s so egregious, unethical and sleazy that it needs to be called out. There’s a lot of great dentists out there so no reason to do business with a company that operates like this.

Highly recommend Dr. Nguyen, Hivi, Terry and all the staff at Canyon Vista Dental Group. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind. My consultation was thorough and they took the time to explain all the details and options available to me and ultimately come up with the best course of action.
