After moving to Chico recently and not knowing anyone, I started trying new hobbies. I’d always had friends who did aerial arts like silks and lyra, so I decided to give it a try myself. I’m very glad I did, and I wouldn’t choose anywhere but Freebird Yoga Studio to do it.
From the moment I walked in the door, everyone in class welcomed me, and that same warmth has continued every time I’ve come back. Both the instructors and the students are encouraging, always pushing you just a little further each session.

This is the most welcoming, inclusive, and down to earth yoga studio. The instructors really care about each individual and you can feel it. Chelsea especially just has something about her. My first class with her, restorative yoga, she was saying such comforting things and guiding the class so intuitively that I just laid there and cried (in the best way). This yoga studio encourages you to just be yourself, to leave any masks you might wear at the door. Those yin yoga classes feel so potent in the healing department as well. Hurts so good! Beautiful space to “Freebird Yoga” The vibe is incredible welcoming and so helpful and inspiring!! Chelsea and Alisa and guest yoga instructors Angela Alex Cherry and others have helped in more ways than they will ever know! I love how beautifully Chelsea is in her teachings and charismatic funny delivery while being in the moment and presenting knowledge in my quest to find calm and presence.
