Yesterday during one of the downpours we are experiencing my wife informed me there was water on the upper lip of her shower and the drywall was wet. I did a quick review of the area and found the back of the wall which is in the garage was leaking onto the garage floor. I mentally feel apart. I’m 73 years old and simple walking can be a chore. I recently had open heart surgery and a stroke during the surgery. It has affected my balance and I can’t even think about climbing a ladder. My immediate thought, I’m in trouble. I have water coming into the home in the midst of an incredible rainstorm that’s to last for days. I knew finding help was going to be virtually impossible but I pIcked up the phone and started googling roofers. After several calls and zero luck i called Butte Roofing. Wow, they answered the phone. I spoke with Meredith who gave me instructions on the quickest route to reach scheduling. She explained the billing process and told me I would receive a call from one of their specialists. Shortly after I received a call from Raul. I explained my situation and he said he would do his best to get to my home in Orland from Chico. 45 minutes later Raul arrived and went right to work after I explained the situation and where I thought the leak was. Within minutes he was on the roof in the pouring rain looking for issues. He then climbed into the attic and after struggling through the insulation and a firewall found a couple of areas in the roof and two pipes that were leaking. He photographed the areas for me to see and immediately went to work both in the attic and on the roof. Again, all during a huge downpour. He was professional, personable and in my eyes did all he could considering the conditions. There has not been any water inside or on the walls since he completed the repairs and it is still raining and expected to continue for a week. He made recommendations about changing out some roofing shingles after the weather dries and was on his way. I am more than impressed with Butte Roofing and Raul. Repairing my home in the worst conditions and probably saving me thousands in repairs had the fixes not been done when they were. As soon as the weather allows I will be calling Butte Roofing again to complete all of Raul’s recommendations. I thank Butte Roofing and Raul for saving me what could have been an extremely costly repair to the home. For me Butte Roofing rates a 10+ and I would recommend them without a second thought.
