“This review is overdue. I was in town from San Francisco visiting with my Sisters for a family event. My nails were such a mess I couldn’t even look at them and was so embarrassed for anyone to see them; I had so much damage from various nail techniques. When I set down with Vicky she made me feel comfortable. Her energy was transcending so much so that it was as though we were the only people in the spa. And she assured me that my nails would recover and gave me detailed instructions all while caring for my damaged nails. She was so gentle neat and concerned. I really appreciated the SPA treatment. When she was finished ohhhh I wanted to bring her back with me to San Francisco. My hands were so pretty I couldn’t stop looking at them. I have left the gel manicure on for a while because that’s how nice it looked and if it weren’t for the new growth…I would have tried for an extra week. But I made sure to follow Vicky’s instructions and upon removing the gel polish exactly as she instructed..no tools my nail bed is ridge free I have growth that didn’t split or break as soon as the gel polish was off and my nails finally feel stronger. If it were possible to just come to Carson once a month to get my manicure with Vicky I’d do so in a heartbeat. This salon is a true spa feel. I particularly appreciated that the ladies were speaking to their clients (softly) and not across the room to each other. The vibe is great and the owner was very sweet also. I watched how she engaged respectfully and paid attention to ALL of the customers too. I even mistakenly left my cell phone and didn’t realize until I was almost back to my sister’s home nearly 7 minutes away but I didn’t have any fear or doubt that my phone would not be right where I’d left it because the energy was just that great. And of course it was exactly where I had left it.“

“I've been here a good handful of times now and I feel so welcomed here! Brought my mom to Beyond Skincare on multiple occasions to show her what it's like to treat ourselves to rest and relaxation. My elderly mom is the kind of woman that has a challenging time pausing to relax. We had short head massages on our first visit. I don't think I've ever seen my mom so relaxed in a long time! It convinced me to purchase a longer head massage for our second visit. At first my mom was resistant to doing something longer but she enjoyed it! I also enjoy getting the head massages for myself! It's a great budget-friendly alternative to a full body massage, and it's surprisingly effective at releasing stress. On our last visit, mom and I had facial treatments. Our skin was glowing! Don't tell my mom but I have gone here a couple times without her...lol! I had a lovely spa day with friends. It was fun watching each person walk out of each treatment in such a blissful state. This is an absolute hidden gem in Carson! The owner Rich is so friendly, helpful, and dedicated to wellness and quality skincare. Her staff is also great. I absolutely adore the decor and island vibe in this space. I've never been to the Philippines myself, but feel more inspired to after each visit. And my mom feels very comfortable here because the owner calls her Tita and they get to speak in Tagalog together :)“
