My 16 year old son, Jack loved Bruce! He said he was extremely nice, helpful and patient. He genuinely cared about Jack passing the DMV test. Jack passed on his first try, and we owe it all to Bruce! Fast forward to now 6 months later, and Jack hasn't had any traffic violations or accidents. Thank you so much again, Bruce! We highly recommend North County School of Driving!

We used North County School of Driving for our youngest son's driving training. Of all my 4 kids' experiences at 4 different companies, this was by far superior! My son had Wayne and really connected with him and learned from him! He even texted us before and after the behind the wheel test! Highly recommend!

Great school and owner. So very helpful talking you through the process. Bruce also helps set it all up. Unfortunately, my son got an old school guy at his first lesson. He has been driving for a while, so he was by no means a "new" or inexperienced driver. My son wanted to jump out of the car and walk home. No joke, this guy drove him nuts. Told him to turn last night minute, then reprimanded him. Would use his steering wheel to turn and just do stupid shit. We were told we could choose who to schedule the next two lessons with so we will def avoid that gentleman for my son's mental well-being. :)

I meant to write this review about a year ago, but I forgot until now!I'm 40 years old, and I never had a driver's license until I went through North County Driving School. I don't know if Marcus is still around, but he was an excellent instructor! Very patient, friendly, fun, professional, and knowledgeable.I failed my first try because I made a dumb mistake, but rescheduling was easy-peasy with this team, and I got my license on my second attempt a couple of months later. I never met Bruce, but I spoke with him a few times over the phone, and he offered some great advice that ended up helping me out.I never really got to thank Bruce for how much his team helped me overcome one of the biggest hurdles of my life, but these guys are fantastic, and they'll work with you no matter what it takes!Thanks, Bruce & Marcus!EDIT: I forgot to mention that I initially scheduled with them just as COVID kicked off and the DMV shut down. Bruce let me reschedule after restrictions were lifted and didn't charge anything extra, even though I waited over a year to get the ball rolling again. Truly a professional and classy team!

Our son just passed his driving test! His instructor, Elisa Jimenez, was very encouraging. I thought my son was a good driver but it was nice to know that she agreed. We both were a little nervous going into his test yesterday, but Elisa prepared him very well. In fact, he was back at the dmv kind of soon and I thought something had gone terribly wrong since it seemed the other drivers were gone longer. I guess he just did that well! Only 2 errors, but for something he's not prone to do, maybe the examiner just needed to mark something down

Many thanks to David, Marcus and Bruce at North County School of Driving! I had started to teach a friend to drive and realized that I was too nervous to really do a good job. Luckily, I recalled that Bruce had taught driving to students in North San Diego County so I contacted him. He patiently listened to what I proposed and found a package that worked for my friend and the budget! My friend made huge progress with his driving skills for sure! What I liked was the "report card" after the driving lesson that helped my friend improve for the next lesson. I also liked the encouragement that the instructors provided and the honest instruction when corrections needed to be made. I sure wish I had contacted Bruce and North County School of Driving when I tried to teach my teens how to drive! It would have been much less contentious and nerve racking! Again, a hug shout-out/thanks!

Marcus was our daughter's instructor for all of the required lessons (6 hours total). I didn't ride with them but she said he had a lot of good advice and didn't even seem nervous during her first lesson where she'd never driven outside of a parking lot. North County School of Driving will come to your house. We had them pick up my daughter both in Carmel Valley and Del Sur; very convenient. Bruce was always very responsive every time I had a concern or questions. When I made errors on the appointment website, I reached out to him and he corrected them for me on both occasions. Overall, very good experience. Highly recommended.
