My cat has one wonky eye for no specific reason, most likely triggered by stress and allergies. I was recommended Animal Eye Specialists by my regular vet. The front desk group is really nice. I'm in Berkeley and they made sure that I can get to Campbell and double checked with me if there isn't a place closer. I arrived early because just in case there's bad traffic. Waiting in the lobby was fine, there's tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. Patchouli was examined and then I got to go in with her to consult on steps. Updating from my previous review. Tootie unfortunately grew more eyelashes and required another surgery. Thankfully, with the generous care and patience of the practice, I was fully confident going into a second surgery. I've taken my older kitty here for years now after she developed eye ulcers. The staff is very knowledgeable and responsive. Dr. Vg also spotted extreme hypertension that my regular vet had missed- treatment has been a game changer for my cat's quality of life. The only area for improvement is reducing the level of noise in the clinic. The interior door to treatment area slams shut as people go in and out (ie, every few seconds) - it made both me and my cat jump every time. Front desk staff (and interns) should lower their voices. And creating a quiet area in receptions for cats away from dogs might be a good idea.
