I can’t recommend Melanie at Skin Religion Med Spa enough! I’ve had my lips done many times over the years, but no one has ever been able to achieve the results she has.
My lips were naturally very asymmetrical and thin, and I never felt confident or sexy because of them. As soon as I heard about Melanie, I booked an appointment and I fell in love with her work from day one.
Her technique is truly unmatched. She has an incredible eye for balance and symmetry, and she takes the time to listen to exactly what you want instead of taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Every single time, she has given me beautiful, natural-looking results that exceeded my expectations.
She has genuinely changed my life in such a simple but meaningful way. I finally feel confident when I smile, wear lipstick, and look at myself in the mirror. If you’re looking for someone you can trust with your lips, Melanie is the one. I wouldn’t go to anyone else!

Melanie is the only person 1 will ever let touch my lips! She's not only knowledgeable in what she does she knows what's going to look best on me. If your anyone on the fence of lip filler if your scared of the fullness especially for your first time you can always come back and get more little by little which is what I did. Ive been recommended to come here for beauty treatments and I drive from Bakersfield to them and wow great results and im almost complete with my sessions and now im I definitely trying to see what’ll get next.. I’ve been getting laser hair removal and honestly one of the best experiences and one thing I notice it doesn’t hurt at all!! very friendly and kind staff with lots of knowledge.. Im leaving a review based off my experience from last year in May. I always make sure to do research because of the horror stories I’ve heard. I seen she was legit had great reviews, and also amazing work on their instagram. I have already done one session of lip dissolving in the Bay Area on my entire lips. When I seen they posted they had painless lip dissolver I decided to go all the way down to SoCal for an appointment. I wanted dissolve just the top lip because I did have a little filler left over from the first time. When I got there everything was fine until she told me I would be needing 7 vials to dissolve my lips. Mind you, JUST FOR MY TOP LIP. That did not sound right at all. I originally went in there thinking I’d be paying $300 maybe $600 for lip dissolver. Not $2100.. I mean it was only my top lip? Anyway. I know what I went there for and I was not gonna let her persuade me. She even brought up the care credit which was a red flag to me. I’m just a regular person, I’m not rich at all. I work for my own money. I told her I’m only gonna do one vial and that’s it. If I need to do one more in the future that’s on me. I ended up leaving anxious as heck! Months after that I went to another injector and her jaw dropped when I told her my experience. She was clearly trying to scam. I also didnt end up needing to do another session of dissolving, the one vial was just enough as I thought. It makes me wonder if this has happened to anybody else. I felt so bad leaving because there was two Latino couples in the waiting room. They were speaking Spanish and as a Latina myself, I could tell that’s their first Language. I wish I would’ve said something to them before I left. Maybe gave them a warning. :/ one star for the dissolving actually being painless!

Negative 5 stars do not recommend. I have been getting my lips done for 6 years and have never been dissatisfied until now. Melanie did my filler. It had been two years since I had them done and I asked for more volume on my bottom lip and for the cupids bow to be redefined. I had no issues with the shape of my lips going in, the only thing I asked was that my bottom lip be more proportioned to my top. Not once at any point did anyone recommend I dissolve my lips and start over if I chose to. Since having them done here, one side of my mouth has more filler than the other. The top lining of my lips now have no definition the line is crooked for lack of better words. The cupids bow is not defined there’s migration above my top lip. And when addressing my issues with my results Melanie said it was suggested I dissolve before adding which is a lie. No one suggested that to me and then went ahead and injected me anyway? No. Very disappointing the lack of accountability and unwillingness to correct the situation. I now have to pay even more money somewhere else to dissolve and start over. A complete waste of money and time. Extremely frustrating situation.

I had the best Service at religion Spa I got my lips and my under eye fillers done , and I am so happy with the results-everything looks so natural and refreshed.
I also want to give A special shoutout to the receptionist Who was so warm and welcoming from the moment I walk in, and to the injector, whose technique was truly amazing-so Gentle, precise and professional, they both make me feel comfortable and taken care of the entire.
