I was looking for a new OBGYN and went with providence. I asked for a female doctor and my appointment was scheduled with Dr. Mey Yip. My office experience was flawless, quick and efficient, nice staff and nurses. Dr. Yip was very kind and explained my concerns and gave me advice what to do if anything occurs again. Everything was great, calm and not rushed. I felt very comfortable. Great experience overall. I would definitely recommend to go see Dr. Yip.

Dr. Cashie is an amazing OBGYN. She delivered my son via c-section and was very patient and answered all my questions (no matter how many) at every visit with facts and information so i could best understand the decisions and procedures for my pregnancy and delivery. I went in wanting low intervention and she supported me. Unfortunately my circumstances didn't yield the delivery I wanted and I left my birth experience knowing it she advised the right decisions and I am very thankful for her care. I would absolutely trust her to be my OBGYN again and am so happy to have found a great doctor here in LA. Side note, the hospital she delivers at (Providence St. Josephs) is also amazing. And her office is also great. You can call and speak directly to a person instead of being forced to go through an automated phone menu. Everyone there is friendly. The longest I had to wait was 30 min when doctor Cashie was delivering a baby (!!) at the hospital across the street and the office was courteous and called to give me a heads up ahead or time.

Never felt more judged or dismissed by a doctor than Dr. Cashie and a few of her colleagues in that office made me feel. I came in with lots of questions and concerns about my situation, and she hardly did the bare minimum of her job because she wouldn't answer my medical questions or even discuss potential risks I was concerned about. She instead commented on my anxiety and continually told me to relax in a condescending manner without addressing any of my concerns or providing information about them. Her religious beliefs (and the practices') also clearly got in the way of her ability to be a medical doctor. I'm concerned for other women who will see her in the future and be dismissed by her. Not only that, but at a previous visit the company charged me for 2 office visits on the same day just because I was asking about issues I was having during my annual exam - apparently this is par for the course with a lot of medical practices now but at least many doctors have the courtesy of telling you to make a second appointment on another day if you have other issues you want to discuss with them so you won't be charged and have to pay for an entire second office visit out of pocket as most insurances don't cover what will technically be billed as two office visits in the same day. I would go anywhere else if you can.

I am not a person to complain or even write a review but my experience yesterday at this facility is not sitting well with me. My doctor was nice and kind - this is not a review of her but of the facility as a whole. I went in for a biopsy procedure. My vitals were taken in a standard patient room but I was told for my procedure I would move into a different room. They took me back to the Procedure Room which was also clearly a storage room. There was a small bed in the middle of the large room with boxes, large storage cabinets, a pile of fans stacked up in a corner, plastic bins, extra trash-cans and all kinda of other things around the room. The vinyl on the sink countertop was falling apart (cosmetic... sure... but I am about to have a pretty uncomfortable and vulnerable procedure and want to feel like I am in a clean and safe space). I didn't say anything to my doctor or nurse at the time, decided to let it go. I likely wouldn't have said anything but then during my procedure another nurse, who was not apart of my medical team, entered the room saying 'sorry, just need to grab something'. I was on the table, legs open, mid procedure and someone I did not know entered the room to get some supplies they needed. There is no privacy curtain, if someone enters the room they have a clear view of my business - my open legs resting on the stirrups. It was a very uncomfortable experience that is absolutely within their control to avoid. I mentioned to the front desk how awful that room was and they replied 'that's the procedure room'. I know I can't rearrange an entire office but I can try to save even a single woman from having a similar experience to mine.

WARNING: Dr. Morgan Borden does not care about patients who are not pregnant. That's fine, but the office should be upfront about her priorities and send women who have other needs elsewhere. Her office canceled on me three times, with short notice and no apologies, beginning in July. They refused to reschedule me in a timely manner. When the practice canceled my second appointment in September, at the last minute, they told me it was because the doctor had decided to go on vacation, and they couldn't reschedule me until December. I called a few times and begged to be seen earlier, and they scheduled me for late October. Then Dr. Borden canceled THAT appointment just 3 hours before I was due in the office. At this point, I did lose it on the phone, which I regret, and I apologized, but I was so appalled and upset. I have zero faith that Dr. Borden will ever actually see me. She has been negligent of my time AND my health.

My review is for Dr. Cashie. I saw Dr. Cashie not too long ago for general check up and pap smear. Before I begin, I want to acknowledge that she was very soothing during the exam part of my visit. She did make me feel comfortable in a vulnerable situation. I think it's safe to say that we just didn't understand each other. I would try to explain my symptoms, she would try to relay them back to me, but what she said was not correct. We went back and forth for a few minutes before she almost lost her temper and said we needed to start at the beginning. I eventually gave up and just agreed with what she was saying. I told her that I was having very serious pain during my cycle and asked if it could be a symptom of something and she said no, some people just have pain. When I asked what to do, she suggested over the counter pain medicine. I let her know that I already take several pills a day and they don't always work. Her response was "you can take more, it won't hurt you. You can also try some stretching". I'm not sure if taking 10 Advil a day for 4 days in a row, every month is healthy, but I have no other option. She did not even check to see if there was a bigger issue, didn't order blood tests, didn't ask follow up questions. I left feeling very defeated and misunderstood. I hadn't anticipated being made to feel inadequate or too sensitive by a female doctor for female issues. I recently saw my PCP and told him this story. He was concerned and said it sounds like PCOS and I need to go see another doctor soon to make sure everything is okay.

This review is for Dr.Borden and front staff- I'm a first time mom and had made an appointment to see Dr. Borden (solely based on her last name because as a crime junkie who doesn't love that last name?!?- if you don't know Lizzie Borden then look into it) unfortunately her staff couldn't get me in until almost the near end of my first trimester, worried that I wouldn't get to see a OB sooner I booked it and waited! thank you Covid for sending people in droves to make appointments with their drs.... Thankfully I did wait because Dr. Borden is the best! I will say this place is BUSY, they have tons of patients and the front staff is just as busy (even though there are numerous employees) as the single person Drs. Every time I've been in they are juggling multiple things but never not greet me with warm welcome and try to get me in the back as fast as possible, be considerate that you aren't the only patient walking in that day and very well could have just dealt with a rude patient, a patient dealing with heartbreaking news, or having to change a very strict schedule of hundreds all because of one person.... In the beginning I did see the NP or covering Dr more often then the Dr- why? Because I was pregnant during the holidays and people have families and lives, also this women is an OB she is delivering little nuggets who don't give you a heads up when they decide to pop on out.... So no fault of Dr. Borden or the staff - but did they sure come through towards my end of second semester and all of my third! Made all my appointments ahead of time, got me in to still see the dr even if she had just delivered a baby that morning, always answered my weird questions, reassured me and managed my wants/needs/expectations. I'm a big planner and definitely get anxious when things don't go to plan or change up last minute, with a possible C-section delivery because of low placenta Dr. B really managed my birth plan by telling me "if it will make me anxious, let's not have one" she knew induction wasn't something I wanted, and like most women my biggest fear... ripping .... My baby is now almost a month old and I'm so happy with the staff at the hospital, Dr. Borden and how awesome she is getting my baby into this world/getting me the heck out the hospital asap, the care and questions she was able to provide and answer during pregnancy and after- Of course the awesome staff at the front of Women's health for always getting me in and taking care of a lot of women on a daily basis and being the filter between us and the drs! I said I was one and done but dr was right the baby is cute and glad I didn't tie the tubes... I'm sure I'll see them all again in the future especially if I get her to deliver the next! Thank you so much again!

If you want to be treated like cattle - dropped without notice - impersonal care - an office full of women who wish they were somewhere else! Look no further! You have found your ideal OBGYN!

It's literally all the ITT Tech/Devry girls hired up front. Unprofessional and lack of verbal communication... but they do know what's on the menu for LUNCHE.
