“I have been a member for a short time, but really like the space. It has everything you need to get in a good workout. My trainer Kyle, who I have been training with for over 4 years now, keep me honest and pushes me when I need to be pushed. They recently added a lot of new equipment and they have many options to work any part of the body. Glad to be a new member of Conquer All Things.”

“After my appointment, the physician advised me to seek evaluation at Cedars-Sinai but did not provide a clear referral pathway or detailed explanation regarding what specific condition or testing needed further evaluation. Because of this, I left the visit confused about the next steps despite traveling approximately two hours each way to the appointment.

When I later contacted Cedars, I was told that many of the issues I raised should first have been addressed directly by the treating physician before referring elsewhere. The follow-up communication from the office afterward felt tense and dismissive rather than collaborative.

I want to be fair: the office staff were generally helpful, and the doctor genuinely appeared to want to help patients. I also believe many patients likely benefit from her mainstream, guideline-based approach to medicine. However, in my case, I felt that my presentation required a more individualized evaluation and management plan, particularly regarding dysautonomia/POTS-type physiology, preload concerns, exercise intolerance, and metabolic issues.

One of my frustrations was that POTS and autonomic dysfunction were not fully evaluated during the visit, despite these concerns being central to my symptoms and despite the extensive travel required to attend the consultation. As a result, I still did not receive definitive autonomic testing or a clear treatment framework.

The recommendations I received focused mainly on lifestyle measures such as hydration, salt intake, weight management, and general conditioning. While these can certainly help many patients, I was concerned that other parts of my regimen — including diuretics and vasodilatory medications — could potentially counteract preload support and worsen symptoms. I left the visit feeling uncertain about the diagnosis and without a coherent individualized strategy.

Afterward, I independently researched additional dysautonomia and cardiometabolic treatment approaches and ultimately consulted another cardiology provider through LifeMD, where I felt my concerns were addressed more comprehensively. That experience included discussion of additional medication options for insulin resistance, autonomic dysfunction, and exercise intolerance that had not been reviewed during the original consultation.

For patients seeking more specialized autonomic evaluation, additional tertiary-care options may include:

* Cedars-Sinai autonomic/dysautonomia specialists
* Stanford Dysautonomia Clinic
* Dr. Peng-Sheng Chen and associated electrophysiology/autonomic programs

In my opinion, these centers may be more familiar with advanced autonomic testing, preload physiology, and newer medication strategies beyond standard lifestyle recommendations.”

“I work a very sedentary job, and have all sedentary hobbies. I am the furthest thing from a natural athlete. And when I was in my late 20’s/early 30s I started to have severe back pain. I felt too young to be spending weekend laid out in pain on the couch, so despite dreading exercise (at the time), I signed up for Troika Training. It has proven to be one of the most transformative decisions of my life.

I signed up just before Covid- and my relationship to exercise and health and just my body in general has completely changed. I haven’t had back pain in years. I thought once you got back pain, all you could do was manage it, but it is just gone. And over the course of years, ive gone from dreading exercise to looking forward to it. And running and doing shit on my own time that I’ve NEVER had a desire to do before, just because I crave that good feeling. I’ve never been able to diet, but I started to eat better and drink less just because I knew it would impact my exercise the next day. It became a positive loop.

And maybe most importantly- NONE of this felt pressured on me. My trainer, Fre, has always stressed that this is a long term thing. There’s gonna be ebbs and flows. Times where you’re stressed and eat like shit, and other times where you’re kicking ass. This kind if long term view helped me achieve more lasting change in my life than some drastic diet or regiment.

Overall, the owner Grace and all the trainers created a really supportive, mellow, welcoming atmosphere that has changed my life. I thought my body would just get more painful as I get older, but the opposite has happened. And I am grateful! Go here if you want to be trained by good people and feel good”
