Southland Heating and Air get high marks from me. They came when they were scheduled and finished in record time. The young man who installed my new furnace was friendly, professional, and willing to patiently answer my questions. I was pleased with their service and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.
Heating and air conditioning business is very nasty, there is a lot of incompetent people in this business. I know that because as a home owner with unreliable equipment I learned that hard way. ACs fail, and you need somebody to fix it, and there is lots of dishonest people that are in that business just to take advantage of you, to make money; they take your money and don't care what happens next with you and your equipment. This is why when I decided to replace my failing AC/furnace with a Heat Pump, I did tons of research and I evaluated more than 10 local businesses and received 5 different written proposals. Southland was not the cheapest offer, but I liked their overall value proposition and overall professional approach to the project. Roy is a very knowledgeable guy - one of a few I met during my journey. (Some of the Sales Managers I've met were so unprofessional they blindly were saying things I knew weren't true.) Did the installation went perfectly? Well, the technical portion of the job was performed very professionally, I was amazed with the meticulousness and the speed of the installation, and the overall quality of work. There were some challenges with the electronics and programming of the equipment, that does not look to be company's strong side. But the company made every effort to resolve all my concerns, they involved Trane technician when they felt they needed more expertise, and they worked with me until successfully resolving every single one of my concerns. This level of consumer focus and dedication is unheard of in AC industry and deserves an applause. They never tried to upsell me anything, their pricing was always straight and made sense, there wasn't any hidden fees; they always had a technician sent to assist me if I had a concern or a problem. This is opposite of what dealt with in the last 10 years. I probably dealt with 15-20 different AC businesses in the past, and this one - is the only one that deserves 5+ stars for their service, and overall value. If you are in need of a professional AC company with strong dedication to their customers in Big Los Angeles area, I cannot recommend highly enough Southland Heating and Air Conditioning.
Southland Heating and Air Conditioning aka Dr. Ductless can't be beat!! Ray Alba, Ricardo and his team were excellent, neat,conscientious and early for my appointment. I replaced two multi-split ductless AC/Heating systems at a fair price an the work was done in one day. Communication was ideal and easy. Everything was explained and I highly, highly recommend both Southland and their sister entity Dr. Ductless. Fortunately, I found Southland aka Dr. Ductless after I was given a much higher quote from another company. Not only was the other company's price higher, the communication was not what was promised and they never sent me a written quote. I also had to wait an extended period of time so there was no excuse why they didn't provide the information. I had to cancel and was fortunate to find Southland ...who installed within two days of my initial request.
