First, the doctors and staff are very nice. We've had fine experiences there, what is off the charts is their billing system. We had a follow up video visit for a rash, we'd already been in for an in person but it wasn't clearing up. This video visit lasted 8 minutes. We were billed $477. When I called billing to inquire the woman's response was "we can charge whatever we want." While anywhere else we've ever had care video visits were free. Our insurance won't even cover it in its entirety because of how ludicrous the charge is. I have several other insane charges I plan to fight from this establishment- just be forewarned the billing system is our if this word for run of the mill care. A derm looked at some photos of our sons rash, they say less than 5 minutes of work in the billing statement, it's being billed as an almost 200$ consult and I didn't even speak with them. Beware

Really liked Dr Huang. He's a kind and gentle pediatrician.Generally I liked Stanford, but lately no one answers the call center so it's difficult to schedule an appointment or just ask a question. Every time I call I'm on hold for more than 15 minutes before giving up. This applies to all Stanford Children's locations since they all go through a call center number. I had a new born and called to set up his next day follow up - which was somewhat urgent because he had jaundice, but since no one answered in 2 locations , I just registered him with John Muir. Bout to pull my daughter out too, I don't feel like it's safe to have your pediatrician go through a call center that no one ever answers if there is an urgent matter.

Wanted to make a appointment for my daughter but operator or front desk woman disconnected me after asking me two questions and never picked up the phone after that. It's seems like to me, it is difficult to make appointments here.
