About University Vet Hospital
University Veterinary Hospital is a well-established animal hospital serving multiple cities in the Bay Area for over 30 years. Led by Dr. Jas Mattu, the hospital offers a comprehensive range of services including wellness care, sick pet care, vaccinations, spay & neuter services, and dental care for cats and dogs. Clients praise the hospital's friendly and compassionate staff, from the front desk team to the veterinarians and technicians. They highlight the efficient appointment scheduling, minimal wait times, and clear communication from the doctors. Many reviewers express their appreciation for the caring and attentive nature of the entire team, creating a positive and comfortable experience for both pets and owners. One reviewer shared that the vet tech was kind and gentle, and the doctor was thorough and caring while treating a wound, making it the best experience they have had at a veterinarian. While the majority of feedback is positive, one reviewer noted a concern regarding the cost of a health certificate for a service dog. The high price charged for a simple letter stating vaccination and flea/tick medication updates was deemed unreasonable, despite the clinic already having the dog's vaccination records. Overall, University Veterinary Hospital is recognized for its helpful, patient, and professional staff, making it a reliable choice for pet care in the community.
We've been taking our dog and cat to UVH for about 5 years now and highly recommend their services. We see Dr.Laura Fosbender and she is amazing with our pets. She is very kind, thorough, knowledgable and really cares for our animals. It's been wonderful to bring them here :)
After an exhaustive search for a clinic with Feline VMA certification, I found University Pet Hospital and Dr. Laura Fosbender—and I’m so grateful I did. My dog was wounded. I got an appointment that morning. Vet tech was kind and gentle. Doctor cleaned and examined her wound. She was thorough and caring. I saw 4 other dogs come in that morning. People and animals were all calm, unafraid. The best experience I've had at a veterinarian. Doggy is back to her old self in 12 hours. This is my new vet!
