Worst experience ever. If possible I could have given 0 rating. Just wanted to make people aware before visiting the ucsf, how unskilled the doctors are here. Where you are so excited for the new person in the family, these people make sure that the you spend your whole prenatal time in stress. My gynac prescribed me a 20 weeks ultrasound at ucsf san mateo(and sfo), where the nurses did the imaging and doctor was working from home. The nurse did say that she is not able to get proper images of the baby's genitals due to baby moving a lot. But when she sent the images to the doctor, Dr. Hopkins, without going for a second screening, told us the baby's genitals looks prominent and that the baby might have CAH and asked us to get genetics and all other test done. We were pretty sure that the images might be due to baby's position so we got 4d ultrasound and came to know that it's a girl. But when the genetics results came in, dr hopkins called us and said that the result says it's a girl but I saw boys private parts. We got so scared, and kept on doing researches about the CAH, she even scheduled us for genetic concealing. They have their ways to get money out of people. I had to schedule 2-3 ultrasounds to know that everything is fine and it's definitely a girl. We were so ready to terminate the pregnancy since we didn't wanted our child to suffer his/her whole life with surgeries and medications . Until the last ultrasound doctor convinced us not to do that since, he sees everything seems to be fine, and that he would have never brought this doubt, if dr. Hopkins would't have given the reports at the 1st place. But since, the 1st ultrasound reports were not normal, they were not ready to say 100% that everything is normal. We were in total stress until our baby was born. It was really a nightmare for us. We have a beautiful baby girl, and I feel guilty seeing her everyday that I was about to abort such a perfect baby.

I took my little daughter Monday 18 of apr. At 630 pm appointment and I got disappointed of the service the female pediatrician that looked at my baby was more worried to leave home than the health of my daughter I ended up taking her to children's where they prescribed a real antibiotic an not the pumice I got on that pleace! Which took a valuable time on the progress of the infection..

The absolute worst. Super unprofessional. The process to schedule an appointment is a nightmare. I called to make an appointment--the receptionist said I would need to leave a message for them to Call me back (what!?!) I received a call back 2 days later for them to say they never received my referral. although I physically saw the nurse saw fax the referral order. I called my doctor for them to resend it. I called back, they said it will take 3 days for them to review the referral( again, what?!) Then they will call me back to schedule an appointment then. Not to mention, I am already 20 weeks pregnant--and they are scheduled out a month from now.I tried calling back to express my concerns, and they literally hung up on me, twice! I am disgusted!!! This is not care! Whoever is in charge of this practice should be ashamed.

Got to my appointment and had to use the restroom, walked by to see a woman in her chair (Nicole) on her cell phone, waited over 20 mins so asked the front desk how much longer and if they were running behind. They said they've been running in time all day and the person helping me has my chart . Finally after another few mins the woman (Nicole) who was in her cell phone takes me back, I asked why there was always a long wait, she said it's the nature of the appointments done here and then rudely asked if I wanted to reschedule my appointment. I mentioned seeing her on her phone and out came the attitude and she said, "well I was on a break and I literally get one a day sooooo" we went on with the appointment she rushed through it and that was that. Can't wait until Suzanne is back, she's the best- request her so you don't get stuck with Nicole...

STILL not allowing spouses in due to Covid. What a load of bs. Dental offices have been open for over a year working with aerosols and the general public, hospitals have been allowing spouses to attend births for months, the state is fully reopening tomorrow but medical offices just refuse to go back to normal. There's no science behind it as California is doing fine- just all about control by UCSF and their management. If you are first after lunch be prepared to be there for a long time. Both times I went was told to be there at 12:45. They are actually at lunch and the lobby fills up with people( (one of which was clearly sick but told them it was allergies, makes me think what's the point of even prescreening if someone is breathing like a Buffalo, sniffling and blowing their nose for 10 minutes straight), anyways both times waited until about 1:05-1:10 pm when they actually call you back. Actual appt Suzanne was wonderful and filled me in as we went along. Her bedside manner is wonderful. The doctor I met for the 20 week anatomy check was friendly as well, believe his name to be Dr. Weiss. They made the rest bearable and if I had to go back I'd request to be seen by them.

Waited a few minutes after my appointment time. It was nice and clean there. The tech was nice. After she did the measurements she went ahead and was explain what body part it was and gave my results right away. If anyone is curious about parking, you can park against the fence at Chevron gas station which is really close to the office. That is their patient parking.

I had an excellent experience here yesterday for my ultrasound. The office was clean and efficient. My ultrasound technician, Monica, was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly kind, patient and personable. She talked me through every step of my scans, explained what she was looking at, the measurements she was taking, and generally narrated the screening so I felt like I knew what was going on and could enjoy the experience. My doctor gave me her undivided attention, answered my questions, and offered me enough information so that I could make informed decisions about my care. At this weird time during COVID, my husband wasn't able to join me at the appointment, but I was able to video call him so that he could be included. I had my first ultrasound for this pregnancy at Diablo Valley Perinatial Assoc. in Walnut Creek, where I was treated terribly. I could not be more pleased with the care I received at UCSF and I'm relieved that I will be seeing them for my future ultrasounds.

What a life saver. To see sick kids on the weekend and avoid the huge ER copay. And it was a super pleasant experience
