About Tilden Park Golf Course
Welcome to Tilden Park Golf Course Nestled in the Berkeley Hills, Tilden Park Golf Course offers stunning views of the Bay and the Oakland & San Francisco skylines. This exceptional setting provides an unforgettable golfing experience, with a newly renovated restaurant, The Overlook, serving breakfast and lunch. The course is challenging, with a mix of average and skilled players, and features hilly terrain and uneven lies that require precise shots. The first hole is a tough, uphill par 4 with an elevated green. Friendly marshals help maintain a good pace of play, and the course is well-maintained, with clean fairways, tee boxes, and smooth greens. In addition to the golf, Tilden Park Golf Course also hosts free live music events, such as the performance by the local band "the Bonafides" playing traditional New Orleans music on a summer Friday evening. This unique combination of golf, dining, and entertainment makes Tilden Park Golf Course a must-visit destination for both avid golfers and casual visitors alike.
It's been years since I've played TPGC but got in 18 this morning. Check in was easy, carts were in good shape, fairways and tee boxes were clean, and the greens were smooth. Course seemed more narrow than I remember. It's a tough track as it's pretty hilly, and you're hitting from uneven lies unless you can hit it dead straight. The first hole was tough... hitting an uphill par 4 to an elevated green. Good mix of average and skilled players. Several Marshals kept the pace moving along. Other East Bay courses could use Marshals like TPGC... friendly and ever-present. Challenging round but a good time. Only con- the perfectly placed restaurant at the turn ran out of breakfast burritos.
What a great golf experience. Lots of hiking if you’re going to walk. But so beautiful, and not too much sand or water. Triple decker range. First hole is a long uphill par 4. Enjoy!
Came up on my motorcycle for a quiet drink at Tilden golf course and much to my surprise I found this lovely quartet playing traditional New Orleans music. Bravo Tilden golf course for your free music entertainment on an early Friday evening in mid Summer. The band were "the Bonafides" a local outfit suitable for dancing. Great way to spend time after work on a Friday. Cheers. Derek-the Drummer Plumber
