As a first-time mom, I expected my prenatal care to be handled with attention and care—but unfortunately, that hasn’t been my experience. None of my OB/GYN appointments were followed up or scheduled properly. I only found out later that I had completely missed appointments I was supposed to have, simply because no one reached out or informed me. When I brought it up, I was told it was a “system problem.”

That explanation is unacceptable, especially when it comes to something as important as prenatal care. They often mention having a large care team, and while I’ve seen some wonderful doctors and midwives, the fact that this wasn’t caught is incredibly disappointing. First-time moms should feel supported, not left in the dark due to administrative errors. I'm now seriously considering changing providers because this experience has left me feeling uneasy and neglected at a time when I need reassurance the most.

Kim was so kind and efficient in helping me obtain a radiology report that I needed with a tight deadline. She called me immediately when the fax did not go through and re-sent it as promised to a different number. Dr. Chadha was equally kind and wonderful and I would highly recommend East Bay Physicians Medical Group's team. Thank you for being there for me!

I made an appointment months ago! But when I went to the office this morning, they said that they made a mistake that my appointment has been cancelled. I did not get any notice and I actually got a reminder phone call about this "cancelled" appointment. Then since I had to travel later, I cannot do an appointment the next week, I had to wait here for a nurse to see me. Really sucks!

Both my children have been coming here their whole lives. I like the doctors, and without their help my little baby would have had to stay longer in the NICU jaundice machine. I wish they called to remind me when I need to come in for an appointment, but that's a minor complaint.

Oh my god, this place is awful! My PCP is across the street and the service is so different. It's almost like they don't care if they keep their patients or not. I had an appt scheduled at the end of December which had to get rescheduled to the end of January. Then on the day of my appt, I got a call that the dr unfortunately cannot see me and had to reschedule but she was out of town until mid-February, so I rescheduled for today. I got to my appt and they told me that she can't see me bc I was booked as a returning patient (since I already am a patient with Sutter Easy Bay), but I'm new to her office and she "needs more time". I asked what that meant which no one could explain but apparently she is going on vacation again until the end of March. What kind of doctor is that? She only works one day a month? I guess they don't care how much they inconvenience people. Judging by these reviews, sounds like people have each had a different awful experience, so they probably just suck in general. Their front office staff is equally as stupid as their procedures. They don't even deserve a star.

Saw two doctors from this place. Both were dismissive and ordered a ton of unnecessary tests that were incredibly expensive. I had embarrassing symptoms, and one of the doctors made me feel completely humiliated. He ordered a ton of tests without doing any sort of culture and barely listening to me for five minutes. I get the bill, and it's RIDICULOUS - several hundred dollars, and 200 dollars for the doctor visit, in which he tells me "It's fine, just use the over-the-counter cream" without any inspection, culture, or any consideration at all. The nurses are incredibly unprofessional. One grimaced and winced when I told her my symptoms. I went to an independent practice doctor and found that I DID have an infection and was treated appropriately. Another doctor barely listened to my symptoms before prescribing me two different kinds of pills for two different conditions "just in case." A few days later the nurse called back telling me that the tests were negative and that I should stop taking the antibiotics. This place is ridiculous. All of their doctors have a 15 minute appointment limit. Everything is rushed here, and everyone is rude except the people at the front desk. It is a horrible place to go for health care and has left me feeling helpless at the mercy of apathetic doctors. Do not go here. The billing and tests are nothing short of completely ridiculous, and the doctors and nurses are appallingly unprofessional.

Went in for rheumathoid arthritis test on July 29 it is now Aug 30 Tried to call to get my results...Could not get through to anyone to give me those results...either with a patient or out to lunch, etc. etc etc. I asked to talk to the manager who also was not available and left her a message as well. Totally non acceptable service to have to wait that long to get my results with NO follow up from either the staff or the dr. My the way the Dr was Dr Molly Magnano...very nice person...did say she was going away on vacation. I don't blame her but I do blame her staff for no followup and not being able to get through to them. Would not go back! (Also the day I was there dr was extremely late...apparently there were fire drills all day, one when I was there as well, which backed up the appointments. I actually had to leave the bldg in the middle of my appt--NO NO NO...Not for me)

I was there for the first trimester of my pregnancy. Their doctors are not great, but the main problem is their administration and their philosophy. They billed tests wrongly (so that insurance did not pay), they are extremely expensive, their doctors will order so many tests making you think that they are necessary. Also, they never answer to the phone, not only for administrative, but also for medical questions. Very poor experience. Do not go.

I just got off the phone with their billing dept. Seems they never received my letter disputing a $60 immunization admin fee that occurred the same time as a five-minute $208 physician's visit and a $35 flu shot. All because I wanted to get a refill for a prescription and figured I would get a flu shot at the same visit. The MD discussed my immunizations, but they appear to have lost record of a shingles shot they gave me a couple of years ago. My previous physician there, Dr. Whitgob, from whom I received excellent care from, left the practice. I called them a month ago when I received the bill. They said to fax a letter. I tried several times, but their fax machine was always busy. So I mailed the letter. When I called they said they received nothing. While the medical and nursing staff have been good (that's why they get any stars from me) the office and billing departments are awful. The last time i went there for a flu shot, i waited nearly an hour, finally went back to the desk and they admitted they forgot about me. BTW, they currently go by the name Sutter East Bay Medical Foundation.

Stay away... After waiting for 2 months for my first new patient gynecological appointment at East Bay Physicians Medical Group I got my period and had to reschedule. I called the day before my appointment to do so and the receptionist asked, "would Friday be enough time?" - meaning, would my period be over by then. I said "yes," so she rescheduled me. On Friday I got to my appointment on time but to my surprise was told they had me down for a Friday in 1 month!! Now, when someone asks you whether your period is over in 5 days and you say yes and they reschedule you, it would be safe to assume (assuming one is a sane person) that they meant that same Friday and not one in a month. Besides, wouldn't I be in the same situation in a month? ! To make it worse, the receptionist did NOT admit that it was their misunderstanding and said there was no other doctor available to see me and no earlier appointment available. I try to explain that clearly they either rescheduled me without telling me or they made an error. But no, they neither admitted to their error, nor apologized for the confusion, nor for my time and hassle in getting to the appointment. I was so incensed at their lousy customer treatment that I told them they just lost a new patient. I hope this review deters you from becoming a new patient too.
