Brought my newborn into see Dr. Deng. She had a very compassionate and calm demeanor. All our questions were answered. Overall, a great experience for our family! I see why my pediatrician at UCSF so highly recommended this place!
I am afraid of doctors, so finding a pediatrician for my kids (elementary-school age and newborn) was an exceptionally daunting task. I could not be happier with the care they receive from Berkeley Pediatrics. Every staff member is an extremely competent, huge hearted person that goes above and beyond for their patients. Special shoutout to Dr. AnneMarie Franks, whose gentle humor and wealth of knowledge make her nothing short of a hero in my eyes. Every time one of my kids are sick, they are seen right away and shown a ton of compassion. I'm sure I come off as cold or rude at times due to my fears, and my family still receives nothing but respect and empathy in return. I am extremely grateful to have found them. Berkeley Pediatrics is top-notch!
When my son was born we chose Berkeley pediatrics because it was walking distance from our house. Spent about a year there and usually had a very cold experience with the nurses. They made zero effort to be friendly with my baby turned toddler while taking the liberty to touch him and force him into the weighing table. It was always a difficult experience. Eventually I decided to leave because I felt pressure to night wean my 1 year old from our pediatrician and I didn’t want to. It was working for us and a dentist reassured us breastfeeding wasn’t the main cause of cavities, diet was.
