“First time visiting this urgent care, and I had a great experience. Staff was very helpful, and the doctor was professional and asked all of the right questions. I’ve visited other urgent facilities in the past, and I would not recommend those…but I would definitely recommend this one. ??“

She always knows what’s happening with me and is very proactive in helping me stay healthy. It’s always good to see Gabriel at the front desk and all the staff who in the back make it very easy and smooth. Highly recommended!!!“

“I had an appointment today with Dr Singh through the VA and when I checked the online reviews I was a little concerned and unsure what to expect. I can honestly report that even with triple digit weather outside the lobby though a little smaller was VERY COOL AND COMFORTABLE. So I'm going to assume anybody that previously complained about the AC they either addressed it, or those people just wanted to complain about something because I'm a larger hairy guy and it was very cool inside. The waiting room was a little smaller than I expected but it was very clean, quiet, and had a restroom available so you didn't have to hunt one down if needed. Dr Singh was very kind and professional. The staff that I did interact with seemed friendly and helpful. This urgent care is not in my living area but if I did live closer to it I would definitely recommend this location.“

“The staff was kind and competent, the doctor listened to me and worked with me, there was a bit of a wait after my scheduled appointment time, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as I’ve experienced at other offices. All in all, an excellent experience.“

“This is absolutely the best urgent care I have been to in Bakersfield, and I highly recommend them. I usually don't write reviews, but I would be really sad if this incredible place closed. When I went in recently on a Monday morning at 9, there was nobody waiting to be seen. The receptionist was very nice and welcoming. While I filled out my paperwork, two patients left. After finishing my paperwork and paying my co-pay, I sat down and they started playing Freaky Friday. Since I love Jamie Lee Curtis, I changed seats to watch.The minute I sat down in the new seat they called my name to take me back to the exam room.

Within three minutes of the nice medical assistant having taken my vitals, etc. and left, Dr. Sun arrived. He was extremely caring and professional and truly listened to me; I wish my primary care doctor would be so attentive and empathetic! I walked out of there by 9:20 with three prescriptions to pick up at the adjacent CVS.

I will definitely return to 1st Choice Urgent Care on Coffee Rd. when needed (and continue my search for a primary care doctor as wonderful as Dr. Sun)!“
