Gary Ross did my taxes for 2025 and told me I would be getting a $1300 refund from the state. Instead, I was audited by the state and I was informed that I owed $1300 +150 penalties and interest. When I asked the FTB why, I was told the $2600, that I had sent to cover any taxes I might owe, was entered on line 72 instead of line 71 where it should have been. GR asked me to bring them my return and the letter showing what I owed. Since then, no one has responded to my calls or emails and I need to know if I need to file an amended return, who is going to reimburse me for the penalties that are THEIR fault, and where did my $2600 go?
