Awesome for drop ins. They have every piece of equipment you could possibly want: 15kg barbells, Oly platforms, even a reverse hyper. It was uncrowded on a Sunday morning and the front desk person was super nice. Next time I'm visiting Arcata I'll definitely work out here again.
Recently, I had a problem with another member of Healthsport. He had visible nazi tattoos, which I find extremely offensive, even threatening. I’d seen him once before and spoke with Maddie, who is, I believe, the manager of the Arcata Healthsport. She was very supportive, but the man had already left, so she had no way to know who he was. This time, he was still at the gym, and Maddie knew who he was.

Good gym but when it’s busy you really notice the lack of equipment. I try to get there in the early afternoon. Arcta closes really early on the weekend but you can go to McKinleyville 24/7.
