The massage was quite nice. The ambience was great. It was very clean. She made sure to go hard on the problem areas and it was effective. The female masseuse was very courteous, helpful, and attentive to small details of helping me feel comfortable. Ie getting a pillow to help me position better cause my face was getting a bit sore and a blanket when I was cold. I did not have to ask for any of these things; she just noticed. There have not been reviews for quite some time, but now it is 2014 and they seemed pretty good to me. A small note is that one of the ladies kept insisting for money first. I probably just stepped out of one of the most unorthodox but sterile and, shall we say, interesting brazilian waxes I have had to date. I had time to kill before my bf got off work and I had been trying to find said time to get a wax all week, so I got onto yelp and looked up a place close by that was able to take me. Magic hands spa was close so there I went! The shop looked a little shady on the outside, inside was ok. They had naturey music and the room smelled like flowers. I think getting a massage for the first time from someplace new is like a blind date...you hope for the best and prepare for the worst. I was a mess this past Friday, tense, hating life, etc. So figured having a complete stranger rub all the bitterness and anger from my life would be just what the doctor ordered. I work in Duarte, searched Yelp - and came up with Magic Hands.
