Is there anything more thrilling and joy-inducing than thumbing through rows and rows of records, old and new, with that undercurrent of anticipation for suddenly encountering that one album you’ve been hoping to find for who knows how long? Only you can answer that for yourself. For my part, a close second to that experience is discovering a gem of a record shop like Strictly Vinyl Records. Dope spot! Great selection of rare and hard to find vinyl. He gets some hip-hop gems from time to time and sells them at a fair price. The store carries a lot of jazz, classic rock. soul, world music, etc etc. This is a must visit if you're a collector or just want to check out one of the best stores in Albany. Lots of great eats nearby as well. Dave really knows his stuff and is as solid as them come. Pay him a visit!

Nice little place with a good neighborhood vice. It was pretty lively when I was in there. Importantly, you can listen to the (unsealed) vinyl before you buy it so you don’t end up with a dud.
