Glacier Lodge & Suites offers a convenient location, walking distance to Blackcomb base and Whistler village. Whistler village is easily accessible, with amenities like groceries, restaurants, and gear shops nearby. Some rooms may be outdated and in need of maintenance, but the staff is responsive to concerns. The in-hotel ski rental location provides exceptional service, with friendly and welcoming staff. Parking is available, although it may come with an additional cost. Guests appreciate the proximity to the gondola and the variety of nearby activities such as skiing and snowboarding. Rooms are different since most are independently owned, with some being dog-friendly and of good size. The hotel offers basic amenities like plates, cutlery, cups, glasses, dishwashing soap, and drying towels, which are useful during summer stays. While there's no A/C or bathroom ventilation, visitors feel safe and find the walkability to everything within 5-10 minutes very convenient. Outside the hotel, a variety of restaurants and fun options are available, making Glacier Lodge & Suites a great choice for those looking to stay close to the mountains, dining, and outdoor activities.
Pillows are not great, not even good, just adequate. Fan in bathroom is incredibly loud and annoying - bent blade perhaps?
The location is great. 10 mins walk from the village.
An establishment from an older time, but still very comfortable, affordable, and lovely. My partner and I stayed the long weekend and had a great time.
The accommodations are basic, but if you don't need more than a place to stay, a gym, and a pool and spa, then you've found your place. We came at an unfortunate time as the pool and spa was under renovations. Hopefully, we can use it next time!
The in suite kitchen was pleasant to have as we would just wake up and make our breakfast. The layout of our room was odd as the bed had been arranged and set up by the kitchen sink/countertop. The stove suite was quite old and we had a difficult time removing the...read full review
Fantastic location for gondola, just 3 mins walk to Blackcomb station. Booked room through Airbnb and smooth check in through front desk. Only 10 mins walk to Whistler center along nice walkway.
