My experience with Marina at Wholistic Chiropractic and Wellness has been extremely positive. I came to her by way of a friend and I am thankful to both of them. The reason for my treatments with her is because I’ve had a great deal of shoulder range of motion limitations and related pain this year. Marina is one of the few practitioners who were not convinced by another practitioner’s diagnosis that my issues were frozen shoulder. While my age is appropriate for frozen shoulder, and the path of limitations matched, not everything lined up with that diagnosis. She remained supportive and positive about my situation and recovery.
While looking at the whole body and honing in on a few problematic areas, Marina’s treatments have been focused primarily on my upper thoracic spine, and that translates out to my upper limbs, including my shoulder. After every treatment, I have an increased range of motion from the initial assessment from when I came in that day. It isn’t always a major change, but little by little they have added up, and in the couple of months since we started working together, I am at a significant improvement in my ability and range of motion. I’m not out of the woods yet, but her work with me has been very positive and instrumental to my recovery. Her treatments have been unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before with other chiropractors. My initial treatments were very intense and frequent in order to help the neurological changes stay, and then at the 70% or so improvement stage, we began spacing out the treatments to see if we can get to a maintenance level. This approach was ideal and for the best - I don’t regret this approach even though I ran through my benefits faster. It was better than spacing out the sessions and basically having to start from scratch each time. While I do have a great support team that includes my naturopath, physiotherapist, massage therapist, and acupuncturist, Marina’s treatments have been among the biggest help to my recovery and progress. She has a no nonsense and practical approach, and her knowledge, experience, and passion shine through in her work.Trust the process.

Julia Alpini is, hands down, one of the best massage therapists in Canada. As a massage therapy instructor myself, I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon her services in Victoria. Her approach is both precise and wholistic; a unique style to master! Highly recommend.

Julia Alpini is one of the best massage therapists I have ever seen. She has a very good sense of how much pressure to use, usually stays just on the edge of what I can handle, and adjusts accordingly if it's a little too much. She treats things like the soaz which I've never had done before. In short--I think Julia is very good at what she does and I highly recommend her work!

Fantastic clinic, all practitioners are lovely to work with and so patient and kind. I have never been to a better chiropractor l, Marina is excellent and just knows how much to push. She believes in support therapy and I cannot recommend her enough.
I go to Alexandra for accupunture and in all the years I have been to so many therapist but she is a truly one of the best, she will treat not just a issue but the entire person and give such great advise and recommendations.
Lastly I go to both Julia and Krista for massage and both are so different but effective, I have never ever been dissatisfied or disappointed after a session.
They are the best!

Marina is a Life Saver ( literally! ) Not only has she done Amazing work on my Herniated Disc she spotted a possible issue with my leg and sent me to Emergency right away - turns out I have DVT and this quick action has allowed me to deal with a potentially hazardous Blood Clot!
