My laptop (Lenovo ThinkBook 15 G2 ITL) on June 10 was not functioning properly where it was able to turn on but the screen remained completely black and my home screen never showed up. I took my laptop to this store on June 13 in hopes of getting the files transferred as I had no hope of having the laptop repaired because it was already 5 years old. After dropping off the laptop and leaving, I received a call from the store regarding the diagnosis shortly about what the problem was and it turns out the laptop could be repaired (faulty RAM stick) and they could also do a data transfer for me. I am particularly grateful for the kindness, generosity and expertise that I experienced yesterday at The Hackery. They took the time to harvest a part that I was having difficultly sourcing, as well as explaining/demonstrating the finesse required to install it.
