I took my cat to this hospital and had a great experience. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful, kind, and friendly from the moment we arrived. Dr. Harry was very professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring throughout the visit. The hospital was clean, well-equipped, and organized. The front staff phone workers are super rude....they will be out and replaced soon anyways. But GOD. How can you hire such trash? They don't even tell you information they would be helpful. Like monthly specials for the SERVICE WE are inquiring about

I brought my dog in because she had been coughing, but I explained on the phone that her symptoms were already improving. Even during the booking process, I felt pressured into making an appointment rather than being given balanced guidance about whether monitoring her at home was reasonable.
During the visit, I felt like additional services and costs were being pushed at every opportunity. I was encouraged to proceed with x-rays despite my dog improving, then was told they could also be sent out for further review at an additional cost. Injections for nausea were also suggested. At no point did I feel like there was a clear discussion about what was truly necessary versus optional.
What frustrated me most was the lack of communication and aftercare. The diagnosis was rushed, and I left unclear on whether my dog actually had confirmed kennel cough or not. I was given medications without any explanation of side effects, what to expect, warning signs to watch for, or proper aftercare instructions. I also was not told to avoid contact with other dogs, despite kennel cough being highly contagious.
After reading through the one-star reviews afterward, I honestly wish I had done more research before coming here. Unfortunately, I can now relate to many of the reviews describing experiences that felt more focused on upselling and making money than on clear communication and patient care.
As someone worried about a sick dog, I left feeling taken advantage of rather than helped. $500 later, I was still confused about my dog’s actual diagnosis, what the medications were for, and what I was supposed to do afterward. I won’t be returning.

Dr. Harjeet Makkar is one of the kindest souls I have come across. He is very gentle kind compassionate and takes his time to explain everything to me when it comes to examining my dog. He always comes up with the best possible cheaper options and at the same time, not compromising quality care for his patients. His top notch service has always been outstanding. I can definitely say my dog loves him more than he loves me. Keep up the good work doc! 👍🏻

I cannot say enough good things about Hemlock. I initially took my dog to a specialist hospital, who quoted me $8,000 for TPLO surgery. Whilst I am aware paying for specialised expertise is a given, I couldn’t possibly come up with this cost for a spur of the moment injury. I approached Hemlock in a desperate scramble to find effective, affordable help for my dog. From my initial phone call with their clinic staff to the procedure itself, Hemlock, Dr. Harry, and their surgeon showed compassion, kindness, and thoughtfulness. The procedure went great and my dog is home and on his way to a normal, active life. Thank you!
