I am grateful to Dr. Vivian T. Yin for surgically treating my dropping eyelid . I am happily living now with a “new eye”. Thank you very much Dr Vivian T.Yin and the implementation team at False Creek Surgical Centre.

Dr. Yin is a consummate professional! I came in because I had ptosis and wanted some cosmetic surgery on my lower lids. Shortly after I booked my consultation with her, I found out I had a small basal cell carcinoma between my eyes which she took care of very well. Although I wanted the eye surgery and carcinoma surgery done together, she flatly refused because I would not be pleased with the results. I know of other doctors that would listen to my direction, with disasterous results.

Vivian also gave me realistic outcomes for my eye surgery. I wanted to look refreshed and well rested; she did exactly that for me. She did recommend I get a brow lift, and that may be something I will consider somewhere down the road, but as far as the quality of work she did and what I wanted, she fulfilled that with excellence.

I found Vivian's honesty was refreshing. I had interviewed two other surgeons prior to going with her. She listened and gave me exactly what I wanted. She also told me that my expectations for results were realistic and that would probably be pleased (and I was).

I would highly recommend Vivian to anybody. She will give you a high-quality procedure, with reasonable and realistic outcomes.

Dr Yin performed a surgery that changed my life (hard palate graft for eyelid retraction). This was her second surgery she has performed for me.

I have experienced many surgeries throughout my life but Dr Yin is the first surgeon that has maintained follow up appointments with me for a year +. Other surgeons that ive experienced in the 25+ years of my life tend to do one follow up and call it a day. Dr Yin takes her time to continue seeing you so she can track the changes. She understands that occuplastic surgery takes a year to fully settle, and therefore requires many follow ups.

I cannot explain how grateful I am to her. Yes, she is busy but she will never forget you. Sometimes the year process can feel frustrating but she knows what she is doing and you will be satisfied in the end. If after a year she feels as if the procedure did not work as intended, she will do whatever she can to fix it.

I have the utmost confidence in her and would recommend anyone with congenital partial facial paralysis to seek an appointment with her.

It is best not to see this ophthalmologist. I have suffered from her so-called treatment for more than 2 years. I was crying involuntarily. She used the plastic plug to block the tear duct, but the tears became more serious. Finally, with the help of an ophthalmologist in the same building as her, the plug was removed, and her condition improved greatly and became almost normal. Please stay away from this eye doctor.

If I could give 0 stars...didn't have a great feeling from the start of this appointment. More like a $ making factory, it felt like Dr. Yin rushed through my exam and had an ulterior motive...instead of focusing on what I was referred there for a Blepharoplasty. I had been referred both by my GP and then another eye surgeon for the Blepharoplasty because of my restricted field of vision at night. For the better portion of the appointment, Dr. Yin focused on why I shouldn't do the Blepharoplasty, which was covered by MSP, and go for what she said "what I really needed" either a brow lift or forehead lift, which would cost out-of-my-pocket and into her pocket, between $2,500 and $10,000. I mentioned I wasn't interested in unnecessary surgery and just wanted to have done what the 2 other doctor's recommended the Blepharoplasty. She then quickly ended the appointment and moved me to her scheduling person who wanted to know when I wanted to schedule one of those two options, I ended up running as fast as I could away from that office. What a waste of my time. Thankfully I went back to the original eye surgeon and he will perform the Blepharoplasty as recommended and covered by MSP. I will finally get relief from my impaired night vision because of my excess upper lid skin which restricts my visual field.

Dr. Vivian helped me with the nasolacrimal duct dredging operation. He was very professional from the preoperative examination to the operation to the postoperative recovery treatment. With superb medical skills, it solved the problem of involuntary tears that had plagued me for many years. Thank you so much! A good doctor, good medical skills, and a good team prove that the half-year wait is worth it!

My ptosis eyelid surgery went amazing! I wished I did it earlier. It was quick and pretty painless. My eyelid looked great. Cheers.

Where to start with Dr Vivian Yin, first off she lies, embellishes her depth of experience to background and delivers sub mediocre or jackass results without a care. I join many here in outing someone that cares less about the result of a surgical procedure. I am now disfigured having gone to see her regarding correcting my eyelid. To her it is oh well let's try again we can make adjustments, or go see one of her friends to get it fixed.Never have I met a surgeon with less curiosity or thoroughness about the actual procedure they will be performing or did, previous medical background or eye issues or surgery who cares to her. It is very much her world and you entered it so whatever the result so be it, in her mind she can always go stateside or teach. How she got doing what she does is beyond me, why she even bothers is a bigger question. The results speak for itself, if one is considering this surgeon then take a look in the mirror because you will be doing it later and stuck seeing an amateur job. Don't be fooled by the dressed up wow look at her academic background and bio, oh she can't screwup or be a jackass, ummm she is and given other reviews of same it validates what happened. My eye looks horrible (embarrassing) and I seriously regret being involved with her. I blame myself for not checking reviews or actual length of time she practiced. I do not trust her and feel she is a con artist that entered the scene off a very established lid surgeon whom she replaced. It was simply about the MSP fee to her like I was a cadaver at med school, she sells results that do not come to fruition. My blessing is I never let her do my other eye in her attempt to match. It is a great looking eye that woud' have been ruined.

Stay away from this doctor. Caused me nightmarish scenario and my one eye is left permanently damaged. It’s both aesthetically disfigured and functionally. Stay FAR FAR AWAY. She will say anything and you will believe her and she will keep collecting pay check from MSP from your appointments and her failed surgeries because she convinced you to do something you didn’t want to do and it failed multiple times, but she will blame it on you.
