Very impressive work. I brought in a thilthy down vest that has had 15 years of hard outdoor use and was badly stained with an OILY CURRY that had leaked into my bag. It was in a truly disgusting state. They cleaned it up perfectly, and the price was fair. Not saying you should subject them to this type of garment but I think it's testament to their technique.
I took my extremely dirty white Moose Knuckle jacket for dry cleaning at A Star. It's got cocktail stains from nightclub/bars and dusty marks, etc over the years as I never got a chance to take it to a proper cleaner. Tried to rub off some of the stains, but the wine/raspberry juice stains were quite obvious. After returning to Vancouver, I finally had the chance to get it cleaned. Found A Star, and went in with a mindset that I'd be satisfied if they can get it cleaned by 80%. They went above and beyond my expectation, as the jacket came back just like new! Tremendous job!
I went to A-Star with a Zegna off-white linen and cotton sports jacket I bought for $11 in a Thrift Store. The collar was stained badly but after A-Star dry cleaning, it now looks brand new!
