I brought my Mazda 3 to this dealership to check the engine as the engine warning light was on. They quickly checked the gas cap and said it is tight. They said they need to run a diagnostic test to find out the problem which should take at least 2 hours and they charge $214 per hour. I asked why take so long. They said the diagnostic test takes at least 2 hours. I bet they are going to connect to an obd scanner and get a result in less than a minute but they will charge me for 2 to 3 hours. What a rip off!!!! I said "no thank you" and left. Don't go to this dealership, they will rip you off!!!! I would give them a negative star if I can.

I bought brand new Mazda 3 in 2018, car was great, but when every time I get an oil change there, they try to rip me off. Always telling me there is something wrong with my car and try to sell me service that I didn't need. Last time I went for an old change there in 2010, they told me my that my control arm broken and I need to get them Replace. So I went to get a second opinion in brakes and muffler Shop. They hoist my car up for free and check to see if I need a new control arm for my Mazda, and they told me Nothing is wrong with it. After that I never went back to Mazda service in Richmond. Good maintenance services by the technicians, but the car washing and vacuum job can further improve.
