“I wanted to take the time to leave a proper review for Mountain View Landscaping because our project was definitely not a simple one.
What started out as one scope of work ended up becoming a much larger and more complicated project than originally expected, through no fault of Mountain View. There were multiple consultations, design changes, and decisions that had to be worked through along the way. Garry and his team were excellent at adapting to those changes, offering practical recommendations, and helping us find the best path forward.
One of the things I appreciated most was the communication. Any time an issue came up, it was discussed openly, and Garry was always willing to take a phone call or come by the site when needed. You often hear stories about contractors starting a job, disappearing for weeks, and juggling too many projects at once. That was absolutely not our experience. Once our project started, Mountain View had a crew on site consistently from start to finish, which made a huge difference.
Another important part of a project like this is keeping a good relationship with the neighbours and minimizing disruption. Whenever questions or concerns came up, Garry was always willing to take the time to speak with them, explain what was happening, and put everyone at ease.
The quality of workmanship was outstanding. I do a lot of my own work, so I can usually tell when corners are being cut to save time or money. I never felt that was happening here. The crew took pride in their work, paid attention to the details, and did things properly.
Large projects always come with unexpected challenges, but what matters is how a company handles them. Mountain View Landscaping handled everything professionally, communicated well, and delivered a finished product we are extremely happy with.

“I hired Dan with Stumpmasters to remove a very invasive tree called a “heavenly tree”. It’s not so heavenly. Spreads quickly. Very invasive. I replaced it with a pink dogwood tree that I bought myself from a garden centre. Dan removed the tree in about one hour and came back the next day to do the stump grinding. Then he dug another hole for me so I could plant my new tree. I would hire Dan again for any tree work. I highly recommend this company. Dan was on time, very professional, friendly and very knowledgeable,“
