I think this may be the last business that still understands great customer service. Ive been a recent customer around half a dozen times through renting and purchasing including a price guarantee on a recent purchase. Normally i would mention names but everyone i've dealt with has been courteous, knowledgable and professional. For the price guarantee, i called in and they already had my account up with my phone number. They processed the price difference directly to my card. Didn't have to go there with a receipt or have any hassle and the guy on the phone sounded just as excited as i was to have noticed the sale. It was very simple to find Long & McQuade. After a long, fruitful search, there she was, resplendent in her Goddess-Like ability to provide Musical Delights of the 3rd Kind. Honestly, the great guitar shop in the Nanaimo branch was super, and same with the Milner branch! That gives me bragging rights on the best music stores both on the West Coast and Cabbage Town! Huge shout out to Long & McQuade today. My 1967 guitar I’ve had for about 35 years, I needed a simple nut for a tuning knob. Not only did they have it, they put it on for me. Might not seem like a lot but for me today that was my whole world coming to life when I finished the rebuild and played it for the first time in 30 years!
