After I retired, I thought I’d like to take piano lessons. I had never played a musical instrument and couldn’t read music. I started on some lessons but didn’t enjoy them and didn’t feel like the methodology suited me because I wasn’t absorbing anything. I was very disappointed in myself and gave it up.
A few years went by, and I decided to give it another go. That’s when I found Michelle. Wow. What a find. Now I’m loving it. She’s a wonderful instructor – knowledgeable, organized, and always encouraging. Learning piano, or any instrument really, at 45 years old had me quite nervous ! Michelle is an amazing and caring teacher, and her approach of catering to your individual learning style is super helpful. Loving it !
I would like to make some comments about having Michelle as a piano teacher. She has a calm and relaxing way of instruction and gives you positive reassurance as you progress. I also like the fact that she will record things that go on during the lesson and when you have finished the lesson you have a list of what to do for the following week as you leave. I would highly recommend Michelle for any age student.
