“I got referred to Dr. Anand after my previous gynecologist retired.
After having had a terrible experience with the previous doctor with the Mirena IUD insertion, I was very anxious around the replacement of the IUD. I know it worked well for me, but the negative experience made me really concerned around pain management.
I was so relieved at the level of comfort and patient compassion Dr. Anand provides and prioritizes. I just had to say I had a negative experience, and was anxious about the pain, and she was incredibly supportive and gave me information I needed to make an informed decision on my care.
My previous gynecologist didn't offer numbing or other pain management for the previous IUD insertion. Dr. Anand offered topical numbing before a local anesthesia along with the green whistle for the procedure. What a difference, and what a relief.
She really works with what the patient's comfort is, offering to pause if a break is needed, checking in with you, calming talking you through the process, overall an absolute Saint in the right profession.
Dr. Anand took all of the anxiety away from the procedure, provided patient centered care, and is the reason why I have hope women's healthcare is getting better.
The MOA is also supportive and conducts themselves in the same kind, calm and professional manner as Dr. Anand.
