I've waited six months to write this review to ensure I was not in the wrong, but this place is absolutely horrible! The staff are rude, they will try to upsell you on services that are not needed, and will cheat you out of your free cleaning paid for by insurance.
I attempted to come here for my 6th month cleaning as paid for by insurance. I was not in a place financially where I could pay for anything else and made this clear from the beginning. They tried to tell me my teeth were so bad that I needed a special cleaning that would cost me approximately $120 out of pocket. I politely declined and requested the general cleaning my insurance pays for. I was denied and told my teeth were so bad that a general cleaning would not help. The receptionist even came in the room, and was so condescending and degrading in the way that she spoke to me that I walked out. However, because they had already taken X-rays and billed my insurance for them, I could not afford to go to another dentist as I would then have to pay for the X-rays out of pocket.
Fast forward six months, after I have now not had my teeth cleaned professionally for a year, but have simply taken care of them myself the same way anyone would, I chose to go to Gentle Dental. The experience was entirely different. No one tried to upsell me anything, and I was told my teeth were in great shape. In fact, the woman who cleaned them seemed surprised it had been a year since my last cleaning and informed me that she could only find plaque around my bottom teeth that are near my salivary glands. This she told me was normal, but that it was surprising to not find any plaque even around the backs of my teeth. I left extraordinarily happy with their service.
This experience confirms for me that Tortolita Dental are crooks and liars. Either my teeth truly did not need a deep cleaning in the first place, or a regular cleaning would have helped even if they were as bad as they said. Either way they lied since my teeth are in great shape, and I've not done anything special to keep them in the shape they are in.
Save your time and your money and do not go here!

From start to finish this has to be the best experience I've ever had in my life at the dentist! From the front desk the minute I arrived to Alexis who did my cleaning and was super patient with my sensitivities and Dr. Tian was absolutely amazing. I had to get a crown and usually they over numb me with that gigantic needle. He numbed me just enough and was so patient with my other teeth sensitivities. This is the first time I've never had to go back for an adjustment and I wasn't completely numb on half of my face for a majority of the day. I highly recommend this office!

This is a great place my grandkids loved it everybody was so kind Alexis the dental hygienist was amazing she made the kids feel so comfortable I recommend taking your kids there and yourself

I left Tortolita Dental for a couple of years because of serious staffing issues. I didn't want to leave Janette as my hygenist because she is caring and precise, but I had bad experiences with the dentists. I bounced around to a few mediocre practices (limited choices because my dental insurance) and finally came back to Tortolita, which is much better now! I'm happy to have Janette back as my hygenist (yay!), Dr. Tran has gone above and beyond to help me resolve a couple of troublesome issues, and Robert at the front desk is super sweet and helpful. I sure hope these staff members remain! Tortolita is now an excellent practice.

I had an excellent experience with my dental hygienist, Alexis. She was professional, gentle, and made me feel comfortable from the moment I sat down. She explained everything clearly, was very thorough with the cleaning, and took the time to answer all of my questions. Her attention to detail and caring attitude really stood out. My teeth have never felt cleaner, and the whole visit was stress-free. I truly appreciate her kindness and expertise, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for outstanding dental care.
