My husband and I had the privilege of being guided in Hypnobirthing by Dr. Patricia Petralba when I was pregnant with my son in 2021. After researching Hypnobirthing we decided this was perfect for me because for personal reasons I did not want an epidural and certainly did not want a c-section. Everyone told me to be prepared for anything to happen during birth. I did not want to believe this. I wanted to be told my baby, my husband and I would be in control of the birth of my son. Dr. Petralba has been nothing but wonderful! I came to her with high blood pressure issues. From previous experiences with other doctors, I felt like it was 10-15 minutes of consult and then I was just given medicine. But when I came to Dr. Petralba, her goal was totally different. Her approach was to identify and target the source of my high blood pressure. She spent a lot of time in our appointment, we talked about stress management, life style change and proper nutrition.
