The pain in my upper left hip area was getting worse, especially first thing in the morning. I suspected a tendon problem, not a bone problem. After only two half-hour sessions with Dr. Robin Umberger, I no longer needed both arms to push up my torso to get out of bed. After nine sessions over a few weeks, I move freely and my pain level is down to one or two (and only on days when I skip the stretching exercises she prescribed). I had never tried acupuncture. Needles? No way, I thought. But they really are no big deal. She adjusts the electrical stimulation to my comfort level. Steve is the best! I appreciate his view and understanding of the body plus his experience with acupuncture, IV Laser light therapy. If you have not been happy with your traditional medical treatments, I encourage you to at least consult with him. I have been going to him for several years based on a variety of issues and each time he has helped me and my family. IV Laser light therapy has helped my energy level and minimized my struggles with fibromyalgia. I am 72 and continue to hike long and difficult distances only because of my treatment. His support staff is also knowledgeable and welcoming and trained to assist with the Laser light treatment.
I honestly can't recommend Steve Liu enough. As you can see from other reviews, he has healed people suffering from chronic pain and illness in ways that seem miraculous. I've seen Liu over the years for allergies, fatigue, inflammation, stress, and recovery to balance after several months of chemotherapy. Liu is down-to-earth, respectful, warm, friendly, receptive, non-judgmental. He puts me completely at ease.
