Avoid Golden Brush at all cost. Eric Akers is the biggest paint SCAM artist out there. He uses the cheapest paint he can get his hands on and the results are evident 2 years down the road - fading paint, cracks, uneven finish, etc. All the negative reviews are spot on.

I first used Golden Brush in 2010 to paint the interior and exterior of my home on Sabino Mountain. At that time, the quality and professionalism were such I would have recommended the business to anyone (and did). After moving to a new home, also in Sabino Mountain I had Golden Brush paint the exterior. After 3-4 years my home developed streaks and cracking in the stucco. I contacted Eric Akers and he completed an inspection, finding the home needed a complete repainting. When I brought up the 7-year warranty, Akers told me he has problems with inferior paint in the past (why is this my problem?) and that he would be WILLING to repaint my house for the cost of labor....read full review

Eric Akers is the owner of Golden Brush LLC. Golden Brush painted at least 4 homes in the Sabino Mountain HOA during 2016. Four years later, four homes have developed cracking and streaking discoloration, but Eric refused to honor his 7-year warranty on any of these homes, including mine. He is guilty of numerous cons and scams. I experienced each of these first hand:Con #1 – "Asks for More Money Than He Bid" ScamWhen Eric came to collect his final payment the day his crew finished, he asked me for $875 more than he had bid. He claimed his office manager made a mistake. I refused to pay. He then quickly changed his story and said that his crew used a lot more...read full review
