I went there awhile ago. They gave me the price for French curls and a detangle at $400. They asked me if I had the hair and I said I would have to go get it, it was last minute. They didn’t have French curls hair themselves but they told me to just come there and we’d figure it out when I arrived. They didn’t have the hair and told me they could make the curls and I checked about 8 times asking if they could make the curls that big and if I could see the curlers. They kept saying that seeing the curler size wouldn’t do much because they’d be wrapping the hair a specific way to make it bigger. I was just trying to trust the process atp. Midway they took a video of the back of my head (I asked them to) for my friend. The parts were very much medium small instead of the extra small I wanted and agreed to paying for. I didn’t notice until after. The parts on the top of my head is the right size but not the back. We got to the end of the appointment and honestly I just wanted to go home, I had things to take care of and even though it was finished around the time they said it would, their constant half yelling to eachother right next to my ear hurt made my head pound. I was gonna just go home without getting the hair curled cause I didn’t want to be around them anymore. I could hear them talk trash about me like I wasn’t right there.. they convinced me to get it curled there cause it would just take a few minutes more. Yeah, the curls were WAY too small and not what I was promised 8 times. It was still cute looking but it’s not what I paid for. It’s not even the length I paid for. They yelled at me for not liking it and said my defangling should’ve cost more so I was getting a good deal. I don’t care about a good deal, I would’ve paid more. I want what I was promised 8 times and what I paid for. They berated me, I’m not confrontational so I paid and left and cried myself to sleep because I was so upset. Either which way you look at it I was scammed, whether it was the size of the curls, to the size of the parts, to the length of the style. 400 is too much to be playing in an innocent 19 year olds hair.

After a long time of searching for local braiders and reading reviews I came across Hadja and her reviews are not lying (the positive ones). I took my son in to just get a quote because he has a lot of hair and she was able to do his hair the same day. She was very patient and her prices are beyond reasonable. I felt very comfortable with her and so did my son. Her work is amazing, he has been getting compliments everyday since. We will definitely be going back to her when it is time.
