I am often told if you want a standard poodle west of the Mississippi to call one individual. While I have done that and she is a very nice lady what they should say is if you’re looking for a show dog call that lady. I want a real dog. A companion. After I lost my 12 year old a couple of old dog loving friends suggested Springer poodles. I described myself to them and they found a dog that exceeded every expectation I or anyone could have. I never thought I could care for a dog more than my first but I have been proven wrong. My pup from Springer is now 3.5 years old and is wonderful. Healthy, intelligent, easy to train to do all the things I require e.g. heeling off leash, recall, hiking the trails, beach excursions. His personality is wonderful. He has to things he does best love both people and dogs and play with either. I can commend Springer Poodles as an excellent choice if you are a committed poodle owner seeking a new companion.“
