“Brought Bailey here to try dock diving for the first time, and it was a great experience! She’d never been in a pool before, but Jason and Kristen were patient and encouraging, and had her jumping off the dock by the end of her very first session. The staff were friendly and the facility was clean and spacious. Once we felt comfortable on our own, we were able to book dock time to keep training and having fun together. I am looking forward to trying out the paddle board in the pool next. Highly recommend IBK9 whether your dog is new to the water or already experienced!“

If you're anything like us - struggling with your dog and totally at a loss, not knowing how to change their behavior, how to manage them in and out of the house, or honestly just what they need from you - call John. Truly. He is the best.
We rescued our dog, Mr. Man, back in January (good ol foster fail). He's the sweetest, most sensitive soul, but he's also a big, strong staffy with a ton of energy. I was really having a hard time with his size and strength and we felt kind of overwhelmed and unsure what to do. More than anything we just wanted things to feel safe - for Mr. Man, for us, and for anyone (person or animal) who interacted with him.
The first session, Mr. Man gravitated straight to John, which was the last thing we expected - he's really timid with new people, especially men. He literally stayed glued to his side the whole time, did everything he asked, and tried to follow him out the door when he left. He'd found his best friend.
John has really a gentle, calm, and patient presence, and his training was completely tailored to Mr. Man. He focused on rewards and positive feedback, read him constantly, and adjusted in real time based on his personality, sensitivity, and what he actually needed. Nothing felt generic or one-size-fits-all.
I think the biggest takeaway is that he really trained us. He gave us simple, intuitive tools that actually work. We're not stressed or second-guessing ourselves anymore. After just three sessions Mr. Man was calmer, focused on us, and so much easier to redirect - and we finally knew what we were doing. Keeping up with the training has been fun instead of stressful because it just works, Mr. Man has a blast, and it's easy to stick with.
Also - just as a bonus - we absolutely loved having John in our home (he's still Mr. Man's favorite person to date), and we were genuinely sad when the sessions were over.

“We just switched vets to Dr. Munion. My in-laws recommended her and I just remembered how well that pup was taken care of. I am so happy we switched. Our dog is facing TPLO surgery and we just werent comfortable with not getting a 2nd opinion and it seemed like we were being overcharged. She recommended our surgeon and facility and they actually cap their surgeries (imagine to my estonishment we have to pay the highest cost cause of her large breed and their cap was still cheaper!) i've saved money thru meds already. I didn't switch vets to save money, but to find better care. Her honest pricing was an added bonus. She is very kind and answers all our questions and EDUCATES us. She has her own private practice and its barr none better than any other vet i've been too. We've spent more money to run other tests that our past vet kinda was like its probably fine.. but I feel better with Dr. Munion because she educated us on well know it may not be fine because if she has this or that it will impact her healing and type of meds all need to be changed if her liver numbers are high etc. Look i'm sorry for the rant, but I just want to write an honest review. This woman knows her stuff. AND her staff are fantastic! I can not recommend her enough!“

“We have had such a terrific experience at Katy’s. My German shepherd was so reactive on the leash it was taking the fun out of walking. At our initial evaluation, Katy provided several situations to encounter different dogs and gave an effective tool to address the reactivity on my first visit. After a few day care sessions we saw how quickly our shepherd was responding to the training. We ended up signing up for board and train so she could learn all the things! We are so impressed with Katy’s training, in addition to her treating our dog like one of her own. Such an awesome facility and training experience. Highly recommend.“
