“The Tailored in White team was an integral part of my December 2024 wedding day and I am forever grateful for TIW’s expertise, craftsmanship, and vision.

I purchased my dress from Anthropologie (Watters Tilly) in February 2024 and I made a complimentary appointment with Tailored in White in July 2024.

My first appointment was with Alix.
During my appointment, Alix explained to me that Tailored in White handles appointments in 30-minute increments to assess and focus on specific parts of the dress. She mentioned that though I would be given a quote for the alterations, the price is subject to change based on several factors including but not limited to adding/removing items discussed (beading, sewn in cups, bustle, etc) as well as any potential weight fluctuations that would require more labor.

After my appointment with Alix, I received a contract that clearly listed the line items Alix had covered and I signed the contract once I reviewed it.

Eric took over for Alix after my initial appointment and he was extraordinary! Every appointment with Eric was professional and timely. During our time together, Eric was always quick to suggest alterations I hadn’t considered to my dress, all the suggestions were to further flatter the way the dress fit on my body.

As we approached the end of my appointments in November, the dress (strapless) was still not sitting comfortably on my body and we had to add an additional two sessions. The two sessions were not in my original quote (though, note, this possibility was discussed with me from the beginning) so I did have to pay more. The team is upfront and transparent about the fact that there are several factors that could impact your overall payment, so this did not come as a surprise to me, but be sure to keep in mind that fluctuations in weight could lead to more labor from the team.

My dress was finally finished after the two added appointments and I also chose to have the dress delivered on the day of the wedding for a very reasonable price. The day-of drop is a perfect option as a member from TIW will deliver the dress to the place of your choosing. I chose a drop-off at the venue as the package also includes the on-site steaming of the dress.

Eric was the one to drop off the dress the day of my wedding! It was a full circle (bittersweet!) moment to have him there for the final touches as he was such a big part of the final version of the dress.
