I made my husband's cremation plans with Ruffner-Wakelin Funeral Home, ( a beautiful Victorian building), and decided to make my own plans ahead of time, so my family wouldn't have to incur any costs. Kathie Reis, their representative, met with me and assisted in my choices, including picking out an urn. It was a stress free experience, reasonably priced, and it it lifted a weight off my shoulders. 5 Star Service

Anita and all the staff at Ruffner-Wakelin were very helpful and gentle in our families time of need. Anita guided my son and myself through all the steps necessary for the creation, viewing, death certificate hurdles and contacting of the honor guard to provide military salute to my husband.

My husband was ill with COPD and had hospice nurses come to the house 2 days a week to check his vitals and re-order or update any meds he may need. He'd also prepaid for future funeral/cremation services when that became necessary. Those arrangements included taking his body to their Phoenix location upon his death. My wonderful husband passed away when I was in the hospital recovering from shoulder surgery. I wasn't going to be able to view his body, as he was to be taken to Phoenix, 90 miles away. I wasn't able to drive. I was allowed to have him brought to Ruffner-Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott, only 8 miles away, to view his body before he was cremated.... read full review
