I wanted to share a concern regarding the care and safety of veterans at the Bob Stump VA rehabilitation program.
From conversations I’ve had, I’ve heard that patients may be able to bring prohibited items, such as vapes, into the facility because searches are not always thorough. I’ve also become concerned that alcohol may be making its way onto campus. While I cannot personally verify every instance, seeing someone currently in treatment searching for “hangover cures” while in a rehabilitation program was deeply concerning to me and raised questions about whether some patients are able to continue using substances without being detected.
My intention is not to accuse any individual or employee, but to advocate for the veterans who have come to your facility because they genuinely want help. Recovery is incredibly difficult, and those who are committed to getting better deserve an environment that supports sobriety rather than one where contraband may be accessible.
If there are gaps in screening procedures, searches, monitoring, or testing protocols, I hope they can be reviewed. Even occasional random searches or additional safeguards, if they are not already being implemented, could help reduce opportunities for patients to access prohibited substances and better support their recovery.
The veterans at Bob Stump have sacrificed so much for our country. They deserve the highest standard of care and an environment that gives them the best possible chance at long-term recovery. I hope these concerns are taken seriously and reviewed appropriately.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

I'm giving two stars only because this VA has a nostalgic feel, and history. But, I have just transferred here from another area, and I'm not impressed. The reason is that the asian blood draw nurse in the LAB was majorly rude! She rushed me in and rushed me through the blood draw like I was livestock. We are Veterans- we deserve respect! I'm thinking about going back to my prior VA. 🇺🇸🤝

I went in for a ptsd (intake) and was referred for attending groups and different programs despite me asking to be evaluated for ptsd first and potentially diagnose me I felt I was ignored how can I attend something to make me better if the VA doesn't recognize what I am suffering from in the first place

This place is incredible. I am alive today because of it and I am doing so much better now.
The staff are all professionals and kind. I really feel respected and valued and appreciate the hard work and dedication of these good people. They helped me feel proud of my service again.
Thank you all so much. You have truly made a positive impact on my life and my family and I are better for it.

My husband has been with CLC for about 6 weeks and his care staff is terrific! Patient, concerned and always professional. His dr shared that he may come home in a week or two and he was so happy! Thanking all who work with him to reach this goal.

Great VA with a bit of turn over. Amber from the gold team has been such a blessing I'm so happy to have been assigned to her team. Shannon was very amazing also but she has moved on.
I appreciate this VA compared to where I came from they get stuff done and get appointments for what you need and if you need to go outside the VA they can help also.
5 stars here in my book.

Worst experience I have had. I fractured my shoulder and ligaments and tendons I was referred to outside orthopedics they suggested a shot on the shoulder and physical therapy before getting surgery see if it works. Came back to VA to get a referral they said I would have to wait a month to see the doctor to determine if I needed on when a specialist ordered it so I just have to suffer for a month in pain as my arm get smaller and weaker because I can use it. Terrible service

The staff at the nursing facility are fantastic. Kang Corpuz is exceptional. She has gone out of her way to be helpful. When I come to visit she always has a kind word. I’ve needed information and she goes out of her way to the information for me.Over all the whole staff is very good.
