Southwest Truck Driver Training is a great institution. The classroom and Driving Instructors are top notch. My classroom instructor Jim helped me prepare for my CDL permit test and my driving instructor Gilberto taught me how to drive a combination vehicle safely and efficiently. They will give you the knowledge you need to obtain your CDL

I got my CDL through Southwest at the end of 2021 and returned to get a quick refresher after being out of the truck for nearly a year. Contacted Steve to see if any arrangements could be made. Teaching people to drive a 60’ vehicle is no walk in the park. He graciously allowed me to return to get a quick refresh. I will say that trucking is not easy, and is not for the weak. You have to be on your toes at all times. It was truly a wake up to realize how much I had forgotten in such a short amount of time. Steve placed me with Tom who is great; he’s very patient. I called on a Friday was enrolled by Monday! Thank you so much to all the instructors but especially to Chuck for all the awesome information in the classroom, also to George for the range time and knowledge about how to drive, and special thanks David for being an awesome proctor! I have learned more in this time than I ever have thought possible. Thank you again!
