My favorite doctor visit when I see my OB! All of the staff were super sweet and even if my primary OB was away, the other providers were still great. They were attentive, patient, and caring. Appreciate them all!

First and only visit wasn’t a good experience for me . My PCP recommended I see an Obgyn for my painful cramps. Went here. Explained my super painful cramps ( curl into a ball, cry, try not to vomit, take NyQuil because being awake is horrible). Dr suggested I probably have endometriosis (kinda figure I do). I asked if I could get FMLA paperwork filled out to show needing 1-2 days a month of leave (which are the most painful days) she suggested I get on birth control to address the cramps. I told her I’ve been there before with another Obgyn and I’m not a fan of birth control if I could just have the FMLA filled out for the days I utterly cant walk (I hate missing work and feel guilty if I do even if I just want to rip my insides out and just assist the monster who is trying to claw out of me and end me; if that makes sense… it just freakin hurts!). Anyways, she said no because I’m choosing not to treat it…with her option of birth control. But if I go on birth control I could get FMLA paperwork filled out. That’s it. No other option. Just birth control. So I said no. Really disappointed and discouraged.

This office has management issues.
I just had my first visit and absolutely will not go back.
I saw a doctor because I’m experiencing pain and perimenopause symptoms. My visit itself was ok, but after I left the trouble started.
The office did not send a prescription for HRT to my pharmacy. Nor did they schedule me for the ultrasound I need to investigate my pain.
I called 24 hours after my visit and left a message on the nurse triage line, asking about these 2 issues: where is my prescription? Where/when is my ultrasound?
6 hours later I got an email with an invite to my patient portal. A few hours later I got a text message verifying my prescription had been sent. But there were NO communications about the ultrasound.
48 hours after the appointment, I called the nurse triage line again about the ultrasound to ask when and where that will be. I did receive a call back from a nice scheduler within an hour, but I was disappointed to learn I can’t get the ultrasound for 2 weeks.
That ultrasound should have been scheduled two days ago when I was in the office. It should not have required the patient calling twice to follow up. And it shouldn’t take 2 weeks to get an ultrasound WHEN YOURE IN PAIN.
I was prescribed medication, which I was told should be reevaluated within 3 weeks … but no one scheduled an appointment for that reevaluation. I guess I’m gonna have to call back AGAIN if I want that follow up, but …
I can’t go back to Southwest Contemporary Women’s care, and I’d never recommend it to anyone else. The patient shouldn’t be managing her own care.
How can I trust that anyone in this office cares about my health when I’m bugging them for basic follow up?

I went here for HRT and was disappointed by both the Doctors I saw. The last one, wouldn't even see me when I told her I was bleeding. I ended up in the hospital and they ran many tests. It could've been avoided had she at least gave me a courtesy call. This place is not where you want to go for HRT or women's wellness.

If I lived in Phoenix, THIS is where I would go. I’m 15.5w and had a scary little bleed during a trip to Scottsdale for a wedding. We went to the ER where I was given an ultrasound to see that baby was fine but that I had a placenta previa. The ER docs were genuinely so unhelpful and plain fear inducing. We spent the next day calling every women’s health doctor inside of an hour and SCWC was the only office willing and able to see me as an out of towner. Dr. Labesky is sent from heaven. She sat with me with compassion, empathy, and so much reassurance. She gave me truths with care and answered my 1 million questions with zero judgement. I would choose this office if I lived here, they provide the care that all women deserve whether they’re pregnant or not.

Ahwatukee Office 3/2026 - I wrote a review about this practice last June (2025) after having a great experience with the PA and office staff. But I felt the need to come back and share an update.
As stated before, over the years, I’ve had both good and bad experiences with OB/GYNs across multiple states, so I don’t say this lightly.
Recently, I needed surgery and met with Dr. Wilson. I truly can’t say enough about how comforting he was. His bedside manner is EXCEPTIONAL! He is personable, attentive, patient, and incredibly thorough in his explanations. He also has a great sense of humor, which made a stressful situation much easier to handle. I immediately felt at ease, like I was in very capable hands.
He performed my surgery, and the entire experience from scheduling to pre-op, post-op, follow-ups, and even interactions with the hospital staff was seamless. Everything exceeded my expectations.
I can confidently say there is no need to look any further. Southwest Contemporary Women’s is OUTSTANDING!!
But honestly… feel free to try and prove me wrong! 😊
——————— 6/2025 - My experience with this OB/GYN practice was EXCELLENT!
I’ve had some bad ones and good ones in my 50 years of life but this one stood out.
The front office ladies were super nice/personable, seemed caring when they would lower their voice with the questions they asked and answers they gave. (Haven’t experienced that before).
The PA, Holly, was very caring, patient, discussed options with me, explained tests and follow-ups and was non-judgmental! Not to mention gentle and took her time with me. She made me feel comfortable and honestly, who’s comfortable at the OB/GYN!?!
I highly recommend this practice!

I picked Dr. Buschmann and the Ahwatukee office based on recommendations from my insurance portal, and boy was I lucky! This is the best OBGYN office ever!! The receptionists are such fun people who genuinely try to get to know you, the office is super clean, and I never have to wait more than a few minutes for my appointment. Dr. Buschmann and her team are also very friendly and professional. They take the time to listen to you, consider your wishes and needs during your care, and have excellent bedside manner. They also try to get to you know and your family, and take their time with you during your appointment so you never feel rushed. I always feel seen, heard, and comfortable, and am treated very well by all the staff and medical team members. Now I come here for well-woman visits, and will stay with this practice for all my babies and OBGYN needs. You want to come here, trust me!! They’re the best!! 💕
